  1. Well, Dead Thread Revival Time. I've played most of the muni courses in the Mid-Michigan area. My favorite would be The Timbers in Frankenmuth, MI. When we hit the cabin Up North, Black Forest/Wilderness Valley is 2 mins up the road. I've even snowmobiled by that course. I'm not a fan of high dollars rates so if its ~$45 or lower, I'll most likely play it.
  2. I seem to hit better tee shots when I give the flag stick a quick glance while walking up to the tee box, set the tee, line up and swing. If I give too much thought to the shot, I jinx myself. My last round was a foursome, sharing 3 carts and that took over 5 hrs. My biggest frustration is golfing with someone who can't control their emotions on bad shots or who don't understand how to count penalty strokes.
  3. Wow! These are some awesome pics. To echo earlier posts, I'm hoping the lottery is good to me next year as well. Is the shop open year round to the public?
  4. Boyne? I first got the golf fever while living in MI and played all the local courses where I lived and loved every single one.
  5. I'm a licensed Custom Home Builder/General Contractor in North Carolina.
  6. I'm a newb here so I'll share what I'm swinging: Driver: Taylormade R580xd with factory Fujikura Stiff flex shaft Woods: Taylornade R5 7 wood Irons: Original Adams Tight Lies 4-PW Wedges: none Putter: Odyssey White Hot (looks like a blade putter just a little bit fatter) Bag itself: Taylormade Burner stand bag I'm not sure why but the bug to improve my game has bitten me hard this year and I'm itching to get out daily.
  7. Morning all! I'm from the Midland, NC area and am looking forward to learning what I can to improve my golf scores and all-around golf experience. Thanks, CH1
