  2. Haha, I love hitting a straight push right now. It feels like progress. Super excited about the up and coming hook though!
  3. Haha I’m think my next problem will be a straight push. Been hitting a lot of them! Then maybe a hook ?
  4. Anyway, I think I have an idea of what I need to work on to get hitting some better shots thanks to @phillyk I’ve been working on starting the swing with my lower body more and getting it more active, and trying to get my club to drop in to that slot to get a flatter swing path. although I still have a long way to go, when I get these 2 things right (which isn’t very often at the moment) I hit a really nice golf shot. My divots are a lot straighter some even out to in with a nice draw. My ball striking has got to pot though ha. I appriciate all your help, I have some thinks I can work on now which I didn’t before. happy golfing all.
  5. Not to be rude, I appreciate you’re trying to help, but if you read my post you’d see I’m fully aware why a slice happens. I have tried this, for me it just didn’t work. Thank you though. I am definitely coming back on the inside, it’s something I’m working on. It helps my ball striking when I get it right, but I still hit the same shape of shot. I would be more than happy with a consistent fade, I’m in no way expecting to hit drivers with a draw any time soon. I would be happy with a consistent payable ball path.
  6. Thanks mate, That really makes sense to me. I think when I took that video I was thinking a lot about my shoulder turn and arm position, which has made my swing more armsey then usual. It’s definitely out-to-in. i’d been doing some drills at home in the mirror to flatten my down swing and found that to do this I needed to drop my hands at the start of the swing. In turn I noticed how much in the way my hips were. So it’s good to get confirmation from someone else about it.
  7. I think this is the issue I’m having, what ever I’m doing is very ingrained into my swing. My kingdom for for a good golf pro.
  8. I will get some good high speed footage. I thing that topic is very good, I train people my self for a living so I understand the concept. If I knew how to fix the problems I am having, I would implement a training strategy to rectify them. In golf, Its very hard and from my experience counter productive to try and blindly fix your swing faults without proper advice, which I am finding is very difficult to come by. A lot of seasoned golfers seem to have a certain arrogance toward amateurs, like they were never in that position them selves.
  9. I have done this to death, it’s actually what I’m attempting in the video I posted. It doesn’t work for me. thankyou though.
  10. Thank you for your reply. I’ve tried all sorts, today I was working on my having a steeper shoulder angle (it became quite flat) and trying to swing the club out to 1 o’clock of the target line. My last lesson I was told that my left hip was turning to much behind me, which was bringing the club head toward me through the impact area, (one of many reasons I’ve been told I have an in-to-out swing path) working on this has really stifled my lower body movement I think.
  11. I've been Playing Golf for: 7 years on and off My current handicap index or average score is: 18 My typical ball flight is: straight ish The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: slicing my driver...still Hi all, I’ve been struggling with my swing path since I started golf, I’ve had a lot of tuition, to no avail I’ve actually lost faith in golf pros a little. i don’t really know what to work on to fix my slice. Any advice would be appreciated thanks Videos:
  12. Thanks @RandallT I appreciate that. i don’t really know what to work on I think that is the crooks of the problem. Every time I have a lesson I seem to get a different work on point and I always wind up back where I started. Nothing seems to help. Because of a lack of progress and some very poor golf tuition (some good too) I’ve lost faith in what I’m getting taught. Ergo...nothing specific to work on. I have been fitted for a set of clubs professionally, I’ve a Taylormade M2, which I can adjust, it does help but eventually I start slicing again.
  13. I imagine there’s countless threads on here about out-to-in swing paths, but I like to think I’m different haha. I’ve been playing golf on and off for about 7 years now, I play off 18. I’ve had probably about 30 hours of lessons specifically with the intention of fixing my swing path. Sometimes I think I’ve got it then a week later...back to slicing my driver again, or hitting big pushes or other out to in related issues. Some times it bring me to dispare. I have tried absolutely everything from lessons, to swing training aids and it gets me no where. Just wondering if anyone here has been through as much pain blood sweat and tears as I am in the persuit of a swing path that’s not out to in.
