  2. Problem is that at slow speed it looks good in the mirror, even in some practice swings but when I try to have it at "real speed" the hands are taking over ... I got a list of "feeling" drills to help me with this: start the downswing with a bump of the left hip, downswing with left hand only(or 2 fingers on right hand), moving/rotating the shoulders on a more vertical plane, etc ...
  3. I am also struggling with the hip rotation and I believe this is one of the most important part of the swing motion. My problem is that my brain is not able to process all these technical checks(left knee, right knee, left shoulder, right arm angle, etc.) in the 1 second downswing, I need some kind of a feeling that I can replicate from practice in the real swing. Just started to use the lateral shift as a first step in the downswing and I see some better results ... still my hip turn is slow and I really rotate them only after impact... Working on it so I really appreciate any discussion(or dispute) on this subject ...
  4. Thanks for you reply ! I will work on it .
  5. I've been Playing Golf for: 8 years My current handicap index or average score is: 30+ My typical ball flight is: draw The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: early release Videos:
  6. I am desperate, no matter how much I try I can't get rid of "fast hands"(early release) ... My swing is more like a pendulum swing, I have no hip rotation in the downswing. I start to think that is all in my head: the brain is refusing to rotate the hips and is "pushing" the early release with the hands ... Tried recently the orange whip and getting some rotation but as soon I move in front of a ball all is lost, the hands are taking control again ... Can somebody help with some drill or anything ? Thanks
  7. What about the hips turn? I can’t seem to be able to start the downswing with the turn and “let the club fall”, the feeling I have is that my hands are initiating the downswing.
  8. Actually the turn on the downswing is killing me: I either come too fast with the hands or I slide my hips. I feel like I finally get it with the driver (maybe because the whole swing is taking longer) but I get so frustrated with the irons … For now I start practicing the ½ swing using the short irons and I am also considering getting an Orange whip. Any advice or drill that helped you with the turn move? Thanks !
  9. "Trying to hold lag and firing your hips and lower body out as fast as you can at the start is a good way to do the exact opposite of it" Not really about the lag, I was mentioning this as I can't seem to get my hands to lead the club in the downswing and this "drill" looks like is helping me with this "feeling". Recently looks like my driver is getting better but I really lost my iron play... Thanks for the reply, I will post a swing soon.
  10. I am working on my body/hips rotation and "feeling" the lag of the club head: I start from a vertical position and only doing a 1/2 turn back then turning my hips(faster) and let the club come from behind. The "feeling" is awesome: I start to feel the power, the lag of the club and I also got some very good ball speed measurements. Problem is when I try to "mix" my old swing(mostly the backswing but also the address position, knee flex, etc) with the new (improved) turn I lose it... Any advice on how to use this "vertical" turn drill and use it on the real swing ? Thanks !
