  2. I know but I want a much lower ball flight which should give be better distance. I cant really see how to get shaft lean when the ball is so far forward in the stance.. I know a video will help and I will try to get one when it stops raining here but does my swing sound too out to in now? too Shallow?
  3. Thanks for these responses guys. This game can get insanely frustrating.. Im not trying to be perfect but much better. Im talking about at the range on a flat lie I can still get different shots. I just have been hitting the ball better when the ball is forward but i dont get much distance and its hard to control especially when it gets windy. I line up with the ball extremely forward like with with my left foot. with all shots from a driver to my wedges.. I just cant seem to hit a ball it lined up in the "normal position". I would like to hit the ball lower which will give me more distance because I still hit fat when i dont hit it well. I shank my full and partial wedge shots unless the ball is aligned with my left foot..
  4. I typically shoot around 110 as Ive been playing for 2 years off and on. Ive been struggling with a steep transition like most do, took huge divots with irons and inconsistent strikes mainly hitting fat. So Ive read through forums and watched videos to help and a drill I decided to try was placing the ball forward like you would a driver and making sure you go get it. Took some time to adjust but I started hitting extremely high iron shots and some with a baby draw on them somewhat consistent. I was not hitting very far about 125-130 with a 9 iron(Driver averages roughly 250-260).. After a few weeks of practicing that drill, I was hitting the ball fairly well but as soon I move that ball back I just can not hit it anymore, I have to play it off of my left heel so far forward in my stance. I really noticed it when I was practicing my pitch shots, I was shanking 90% of my shots unless I played the ball forward near my left heel. Im not sure what I have to do now.. any tips will be great appreciated.
  5. New videos, side and front slow motion, and some regular speed, sorry for the quality. This was with my 5 iron. I didn't got leave any "divots" on any swing. Just can't seem to get a divot at all now. , Thanks for the help
  6. I may not even have to say this but too big of a divot as well.
  7. I hit about 150 balls yesterday and about 90% were in to out swing with an open club face. The ball flight was mostly short high shots that went way right. Had so many fat shots. Some went further but a lot were maybe 30-40 degrees to the right of my target with very little distance. Thanks for any input
  8. Here's a quick video of the swing: I hit about 150 balls yesterday and about 90% of them were mostly fat shots, with open club face. The ball flight was mostly short high shots that went way right. Some went further but a lot were maybe 30-40 degrees to the right of my target. Thanks for any input By the way I worked on keeping head more stable and not going down on backswing but Didnt record it because phone died after taking this first video. And still similiar results, shots not as fat. But still way right of target line with open face
  9. I've been Playing Golf for: A month, practiced maybe 20 times in that much. Range maybe 10 times and tons of practice swings and drills at home. My current handicap index or average score is: first time playing before I got serious 157 My typical ball flight is: Fat and push shots The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Fat and push shots. Hit a lot of ground right before ball and open face ball goes right. Definitely not playable I was told by many that I have a pretty good swing, especially for a beginner. Not perfect but doing a lot of things right, and still needs a few finishing touches. I do notice my swing pattern goes in to out and club face is open at contact. Pushing the ball but not slicing. What can I do to help? Drills, thoughts, feels? Any and all tips are appreciated!
