Hi everyone, I am new to the boards.
I try to take my son to one tournament a year. We started this in '14 with the PGA @ Valhalla, 'in 15 we went to the PGA @ Whistling Straights, and last year we did Oakmont for the US Open.
Was planning on the PGA in NC but I don't want to pay $200 a ticket (scalpers suck). So after looking at the schedule I am intrigued by the tour championship.
Have any of you gone to this before? It seems that with a field of only 30 it would be awfully crowded, which makes it tough sometimes for my 13 year old to see very well. We don't like to sit at one place, but rather we like to walk the whole course.
On the other hand, while it isn't a major, which we are used to, the crowds may not be so bad even with a small field.
Anyone have thoughts on this? Thanks in advance and I look forward to many conversations here.
