  2. Oh! Ok that makes perfect sense, I will try this out the next time I’m out. I just usually line up down the middle and hit my shot. I am new to the game so I’m still learning.
  3. Oh ok that makes sense, I was wondering why people did that. I should learn this maybe it can help.
  4. Does anyone use the tee markers to help them shape shots. I see a lot of guys standing outside the box hitting a draw. This guy today told me standing out side the box on the left tee marker helps him draw the ball ( he’s right handed) then he moves closer to the right tee marker opening his stance to hit a fade. Idk just wondering if that helps.
  5. Ive been looking into lessons for the last two days and Golftec is really expensive! The guy said 2300 or more I’m going to see or get more. I don’t know how much more I want to see with 2300 or more dollars leaving my pockets. That I won’t do, I’m a weekend golf warrior I’m not getting paid. Any tips on cheap lessons? Or is that pretty much what I’m looking at cost wise for lessons.
  6. I can see everyone’s point here and I will take you guys up on the suggestion and get myself some lessons. I really appreciate the feed back. I will look into evolvr right now, I also contacted golftec see what they have to offer although I heard they are very expensive. And look into “understanding the golf swing” video as well.
  7. That’s makes sense, thank you for the feed back. I really want to take lessons, I’m gonna start looking around for options. I really haven’t thought about my expectations, I guess it would be to have a consistent smooth swing, more effortless, to come up to the tee box and have confidence in my swing, hitting the fairways more. Knowing my true distance with each club etc. just a better weekend golfer.

    Lessons?

Hello golfers, So I’ve been playing for about 3 years and I’ve notice a significant improvement in my game from the first time I picked up a club. I wasn’t very interested in the sport until I hit a good shot and I was instantly hooked and have been every since. So I bought some cheap clubs and started to study the game, I got apps and watched YouTube for instructions and practiced. But basically I’m asking would it do me good if I got a lesson or two? When I have very bad rounds I normally know what caused it and I go to YouTube or use a app to get better. I know I have some bad habits but I can see I’m getting better each time I go out. I’m just scared I will get lessons and get in my own head and try and do everything the instructor told me and make things worse (seen this today on a course) this guy told me he gets some lessons but he was having big trouble and was getting frustrated. He said he’s been playing for 8 or so years. I was thinking I don’t wanna spend that much money and get worse I would rather keep studying the game and do it my self. But I’m very curious what my game would look like if I got lessons.
  9. The thought just came to mind, so I thought I might ask around. Would it be weird if you video tape yourself while playing a round of golf? I usually golf by myself, I get paired with people sometimes. I just want to get even better at this game, video tapping on the range is good and all but I thought it might be a little weird if I video taped some shots while playing, getting a realistic look I guess. Maybe it would seem a little duchbagish or cocky to some people but I all I want to do is get better. I wouldn’t think it would be a problem as long as it’s not slowing down the pace of play. Just thought I would ask. Thanks
  10. I’ve been playing for two years now fell in love with the sport and I want play for the rest of my life. But I can’t find a reason to pay anything over 65 bucks to play a round! Does anyone else pay a ridiculous amount of money to play every week? And why should I pay that much to play? Side note money isn’t a issue for me just can’t find a reason to pay that much.
