I have been playing golf for several years and have always hit the ball high (particularly with my irons) and I sacrifice a good amount of distance as a result. I always suspected it was due to my action through the ball, but it wasn't until I recently captured a slo-mo video of my swing that I see that on my backswing there is quite a bit of leg movement and I am coming up on the ball through my follow-through. I am also not getting the amount of hip rotation and power through the ball, rather my hips appear square with the ball through impact instead of leading forward. Here is a slo-mo video of my swing:
I'm wondering if any experts out there can comment on how best to correct my swing. I think I most need to find drills to maintain leg position through the backswing and drive with the hips through the ball. Any help on this is appreciated! Thanks.
