  1. Just to clarify, I am really athletic. I have played football throughout high school, and I have lifted a lot. I squat 320, and clean 220. I was a running back and free safety. I also have a lot of double joints and hyper flexibility. I hit PW 150, 7 iron 185, 3iron 225, and my hybrid is my 235. Like the deronsizemore said though, the game is won around the green. A perfectly read 28 foot eagle or birdie putt or sticking it to three feet from 100 yards can be a lot more exhilarating than any drive.
  2. I am 17, and in general, I do end up not hitting many middle irons on par fours. My average drive is around 280 with control. I have hit drives that measure 300+, but I am strong and do swing fast. However, most of the people I play with cannot hit much further than 220 with their drivers. It can actually be harder to play hitting this far, as trouble that is unreachable for most people becomes a big problem. Also, if you make a bad swing, the further you drive it the worse off you are. I think I will end up hitting a lot of three woods off the tee this season. Also, I play at sea level if that makes a difference to anyone.
  3. It actually does come in different lofts. 8.5, 9.5, and 10.5. Each one has one degree of adjustability for loft. So the 8.5 can be at 9.5 or 7.5 degrees. The 9.5 can also be set at 10.5 or 8.5, and so on. So it does make a difference.
  4. The three wood can be tough to hit out of the fairway, but it is amazing off the tee. I'd go with the four.
  5. I got a Scotty Cameron Red x for free from my uncle. I also have a Ping G2 which I greatly prefer. The Red x is nice, don't get me wrong, but i find it tough to use it on faster greens. And as such, the Ping is staying in my bag for a while
