  1. Shot one under 71 today. My ball striking was as good as it ever has been. What let me down was my putting. This round could have easily been 66 or 67. Funny how it goes. Strike the ball well and putt like a fool. Kick it around and make everything you look at.
  2. Shot 78 today on a course I haven't played in about 15 years. Not a tough track but my putter was balky to say the least. 5 - 3 putts. Didn't help that I hurt my back last week hauling top soil into my yard.
  3. Had an even par 72. 1 under on the front and 1 over on the back. 5 birdies today - fell apart coming in. Bogied 15, 16, and 18. Was seriously hoping for my second round in the 60's this summer. Oh well.
  4. Got 6 holes in today. Got caught in a violent thunderstorm. We took refuge in an on course shelter which was close to where we were. Rode it out for 45 minutes. It was pretty scary. I was 1 over when it happened. The greens were underwater when it was over so we came on in. It was not a good experience. Remember to be careful out there when there's a threat of a storm. This one came so fast we had little chance of getting off the course. Thank God for that shelter.
  5. I had 75 today. I was awful the front side. 3 penalty shots and a 41, 5 over par. It was a very windy day. I birdied 10 to start the back side and added another to go with 7 pars for a 2 under 34. Proud of that side in the wind and my less than stellar swing today.
  6. Yesterday I shot 33-35, 68, 4 under par. This tied my best round ever. I have shot 4 under 4 times now. The last time was 16 years ago. I'm currently 62 years old. I never was in the 60's when I was in my 50's and I never thought I'd do it again. I played a par 72, 6840 yard course. And, I walked. It was a great day.
  7. Had 36-40 again yesterday. Opened with a birdie. Ran out of gas on the back. I was hittling it about as good as I can but just stumbled in.
  8. Had 36-39 yesterday. Ran out of gas on the back side. Only made one birdie all day. Playing again today on a short, hilly course that I haven't played for 20 years.
  9. Shot 78 on a course I haven't played for 15 years. Hit one ball in the water and didn't putt particularily well. Had a good time though.
  10. Had a good day for the most part. Driving was excellent. Pulled a few drives slightly but they were all long, almost all in the fairway. My irons were a bit iffy. Putting adequate. 36-36=72, 1 0ver on a par 71 course. My third round since going to stack and tilt. Still don't quite know exactly what I'm doing wiht S & T as yet. Have some pain in my left hip, not sure if it's from having so much weight on my left side or know. I'm 62 and it could just be another old age ache.
