  1. Thanks for that. This is a cool tool that I'll definitely play with, but I was looking more for something just like but this that lets me enter more variables; particularly swing path, face angle, club path and then shows the flight. I've been looking and can't seem to find it.
  2. Hi Everyone, Does anyone know of a site or app that would show you what the flight of your golf ball would be if you entered numbers for club path, swing path, club face angle, launch angle, etc.? Thanks, Danny
  3. Hi Everyone, I was wondering what result anybody has had using two different swing methods at once. One for swinging an iron and another for the driver. Maybe someone on this forum has tried this. For example, using a single plane swing for the driver and a conventional swing for irons. I ask because at the moment, I’m hitting my irons pretty decently, but I’m pretty lost with my driver. Just thinking… Thanks! Danny
  4. Stalls man... Down the line is fine. Plenty of room for that, but head on is the problem. I'm going to take iacas' suggestion and reach out to the developer. I'm sure I won't be the first one reaching out to them on this.
  5. Whether in landscape or in portrait mode, I’m not able to zoom out for a wider shot. I’d like to film head on and the stalls at the driving range are a bit narrow for a regular lens. Absolutely annoying. It’s great that these guys created this app in the first place with golfers in mind I’m guessing, but If they’re gonna do it, go all the way.
  6. Hi Everyone, Does anyone know if there are any other apps that do what Mirror Vision does? Mirror Vision is good, but the only gripe I have is that it doesn't take advantage of the multiple lenses on my iPhone for wider angle shots (unless I'm missing something. I'll keep looking but perhaps someone knows of something else. Thanks! Danny
  7. I recently read that heel or toe shots can happen because we're either to close to the ball or too far away from it. If you're too close, the tendency might be to bring your hands, even if just a little, causing you to make contact more off the toe. Vice versa if you're too far away. You might want to lunge at it to reach it, even if just a little, and end up hitting it off the heel. What do you guys think about that?
  8. I recently watched a YouTube video where an instructor teaches his students to not look at the ball during the swing, but to just focus on the finish, but only when you're practicing. He himself doesn't do this when he plays. The point he was making was that when we take our practice swing away from the ball, it's usually a good one with good tempo, etc., but as soon as we get over the ball, the urgency to make contact with the ball kicks in and all the flaws that come from that feeling, kick in to produce our bad shots. By not looking at the ball, he says he's engraining the feeling he has when he takes his good practice swing. I say you still know the ball is there and if you even make contact, your swing flaws will come through no matter. Anyway, this might be what Sutton was getting at with that tweet. Maybe?
  9. Hey Everyone, This may seem strange, but I wanted to check to see if anyone has heard of this. I was reading on some website that the farther you insert a tee into the ground, the more resistance there is at impact, which reduces your distance (by whatever amount). They claim that a tee should only be inserted deep enough to keep it upright. Sounds weird to me, but at the same time, I kind of understand the point. Anything to this? Danny
  10. Thanks! I’ll check it out. I hear ya. I don’t have any grass ranges near me; I really wish I did. And as far as mats and heavy contact, I can pretty much always feel when I’m heavy or thin with my contact and even if I do get good distance with a heavy shot, I know it was heavy and try to make a correction. When I’m on the simulator, I’ll actually retake the shot knowing it would have been way worse on actual grass.
  11. Hi guys. I am struggling big time with inconsistency over the last couple of months I’m working on a new swing and I suppose this is a huge part of that, but hear me out. At the range, I hit everything pretty decently, but when I get to the course, it goes down the tubes pretty quickly. I have some decent rounds sprinkled in here and there, but for the most part, it’s just inconsistency. I have a portable simulator that I use at the range and pretty much just use that to play on courses that I typically play on in my area. I’m not just hitting driver after driver or 8 iron after iron. I simulate actually playing as much as the simulator will allow me to. I’ve been giving a lot of thought to why I’m so much worse on the course vs the range. One theory I’ve come up with is that at the range I have the edges of the mat to help me, I’m using alignment sticks to get me pointed to the target, to get my ball position right; I have all these markers to get me in the position I want to be in to execute a shot. At the course, I have none of these. No sticks, no lines, no aides of any kind to help line me up (i do pick a spot about 2 feet in front of me before every shot as my target). I think when I’m the course without any of this, everything gets out of whack; ball position, stance, you name it, and subconsciously I realize this and make all sorts of movements to compensate to try to make decent contact. Today on a number of swings, I caught my back elbow flying out creating this crazy over the top swing and causing me to pull the ball way right (I’m a lefty). At the range or on my simulator, I NEVER do this. I’m thinking of throwing down some sticks during my next round and see what happens. I know I don’t want to always do this, but I want to get a feel for how I should be lined up, etc and the sticks will help me do this. I don’t know. Is this something a coach would help with? Or is it more for an instructor? I’m lost.
  12. Hey Typhoon. The clubs get a little longer as they go from 6-4 compared to the XRs. Everything else is pretty much the same. See the attached. Thx for the advice.
  13. <I guess what I meant by “way more consistent” is that the frequency of good shots is higher than it used to be when I’m swinging it well. Overall consistency is what’s hurting me, but I’m getting better all the time. > I wrote the above earlier, but to explain that a little more, I mean to say that the times when I’m making good contact I’ll shoot an 85 and then 95s the next two rounds, as an example. As I get to used to learning this swing, this is what I’m experiencing.
