  1. I was reading on Andrew Rice's website yesterday about HH courses. http://www.andrewricegolf.com/2010/06/hilton-head-golf/
  2. I dont think it would speed up play that much for most players. Look at Rickie Fowler, he has to calculate yardages and plays plenty fast. Jim Furyk doesn't really need yardages for putts and the guy takes for freaking ever. Most of these players have personal sports shrinks telling them what and how to think for every type of shot, and helping them setup crazy pre-shot routines. I'm not saying this doesn't help certain players, it very well could and probably does to some extent. However, I think for some people they are going to take as long as they can get to take a shot, give them more time and they are going to use it. If you take the yardage calculation out of it, just give them the shotlink data on the course. At least then they might be able to get their number before they get to their ball, and the small number of fast players can play faster (even though they'll be slowed down by their slower playing partners and groups in front of them).
  3. I was never really a Stewart Cink fan, and I was pulling for Tom Watson to win the Open, but I don't think any worse of Cink for winning it. They are both professionals, and for either of them to let the other win was not going to happen. And the greatest thing to take out of it was that Tom Watson was just as gracious of a loser as Jack Nicklaus was to him when he beat Jack at Turnberry.
  4. Poor Tiger complaining about how bad the greens were and that nobody in the afternoon group posted a good score. Yet, all 3 leaders at -2 played in the afternoon, and 2 of the guys at -1 played in the afternoon. http://www.pgatour.com/video/?/video...ds_prs.pgatour
  5. Was there again today. Followed Phil most of the day. @ 14 he was 2 behind Rory and made birdie... Looked up and he was now 3 behind with Rory making eagle on hole ahead. After 15, we had to go get a seat at 18 and the final put from Rory was crazy. Everyone went nuts, was a great round. As for Phil, sucks to see him lose after playing a really good round. Great to see him give congrats to Rory, and also saw him picking up trash on the golf course a couple times, with others inside the ropes just walking past it and ignoring it. Great day at the tournament, but man it was hot and humid out there.
  6. My wife and I were following Phil during the Pro-Am today. He got sick on the 6th tee and had to leave for the day. PGA Tour's website is saying he is still going to try to play in the tournament. Even though you could tell he was sick on the course, he was still playing well and was great towards all the fans.
  7. I got a pair of these about 2 months ago as well (3.0's). Very comfortable for golf shoes and they look great.
  8. I purchased the eBook a few weeks ago. What I like about the book is that it is short, to the point, and has very good illustrations to back up what Andrew is saying in the text. Over the past few weeks, I have been working on my swing at the driving range with great results. I'm finally hitting with a draw instead of pushing everything, and taking the correct size divots on most swings. I've also gained about 15-20 yards on each of my low irons, and working on getting my higher irons more consistent. Thanks for the good book Andrew.
  9. Clemson University in South Carolina is really good, but Im partial since thats where I went. Many pros on the PGA/Nationwide tour from Clemson. They have a really nice golf course too.
  10. Is it just me, or does his face look like a skinny white Charles Barkley with hair?
  11. some guy runs a live feed of golf channel here: http://www.veetle.com/viewChannel.ph...489e78e9b8936#
