  1. Thursday I was working on my three swings with all of my wedges, Friday I worked on pitching, chipping, and putting, and today I'll be working on maintaining the proper swing plane as I want to switch to a one-plane swing. I have a feeling that today's practice will make for a repeat of Thursday's practice.
  2. I used to put my feet almost together inside 50, but I started pulling the ball. I'm not entirely certain what I was doing wrong, but moving my feet a little further apart solved the problem.
  3. What about the club grip itself? How important is that? My understanding is that you need to feel comfortable with your grip or it is just going to throw the rest of your game off. When I set the grips down on my fingers I feel like my hand is too big for the grip. Would a club pro be able to tell me if I could benefit from moving to a medium size grip?
  4. I've played 19 rounds this year and my wife hates it. Do you have any sort of hypnotism techniques that I can perhaps try on my wife?
  5. I just started using this suggestion a couple of weeks ago and it has worked wellf or me. I used to think I needed to try and hit the ball as close the green as possible every time. Now I know that I'm very confident when swinging a full PW or 9-iron so if I'm having a day where I just can't seem to get my partial wedges working, I'll club down to leave myself a full PW or 9-iron into the green.
  6. I keep thinking about picking up a box. I always get torn between those and the Mojo, but I end up leaving with Callaway's 07 Warbirds for some reason.
  7. I believe "Live" is from Dover, PA which is in York County. I'm orginally from Indiana though, so I don't have much love for the Pittsburgh teams. I root for them when they aren't playing my teams though! I'm a Penn State fan though if that gets me more PA points :)
  8. First off, I'd like to say thank you to all of the helpful people on the forums. I've been reading these forums all summer, but just registered today. I put a lot of what I read on here into my practices and things are really starting to come together. I just began golfing at the end of Aug '09 so this is my first full golf season. I must say that putting up 130s and 140s in the beginning really had me down, but with a lot of work I have gotten down to mid-high 90s and I am seeing a lot of progress. I'd like to break 90 this season, and have my target set to break 80 in the next couple of years. So hello from PA, and I'll see you out there!
  9. Congrats to both of you on breaking 90. I was on track for breaking 90 today, but my blow-up holes were 17 and 18 unfortunately. I dropped 6 strokes on those two holes to finish with a 95.
  10. My first time breaking 100 was Sunday 6.13.2010 at Briarwood GC with a 98, and my second was a 95 at Hickory Heights GC today (first time playing from the blues).
  11. Played a local course from the Blues today for the first time. I had been playing a fade most of the day, but I wanted to get some real distance on 12 so I gave my swing just a little extra. In hindsight, it probably wasn't the smartest thing to do as you don't pull your driver out of the bag on holes 9-11. That extra "Ummph" really accentuated the fade and I ended up on the fairway of the parallel hole to my right about 120 yds out staring right into a large patch of high trees. Not wanting to give up a stroke on the hole, I club'd up to a 9-iron and launched the ball over the trees, 6 feet from the cup, and pin high. I was able to carry the momentum of that shot through most of the back 9.
