Pros: Elevation Change, nice fairways, decent greens, blind tee shots, and plenty of places to get yourself into and out of trouble.
Cons: Public course issues, broken tees, broken ball washers, occasional litter. Greens are overall nice, but number 9 can sometimes get overly soggy.
This course really is a gem. It's a public golf course located in Ferris, TX, just minutes south of Dallas. It was literally created out of an old brick yard, and it centers around a lake which is the bottom of the quarry pit. It has many holes with elevation changes, doglegs left and right, bunkers, water, cliffsides, etc. The par 3's are typically very short, but with large amounts of elevation changes. Hole number 6 is almost a blind shot from the back tees. It's only 150 yds, but it is at such a steep drop off, that you have to walk to the front of the teebox to see a front pin.
