iliac Golf combines modern materials with a vintage flare

Posted

Pros: High quality materials, unique designs, wrinkle free, stylish for on or off the golf course

Cons: Price but it's worth it :-)

I've had to opportunity to meet and play some golf with the man behind iliac Golf, Bert Lamar.  Bert is an avid golfer and extremely passionate creating the finest products.  Check out his Twitter or Facebook page and you'll see him modeling his own clothes on the golf course, in the office or on sales trips around the world.  Bert isn't interested in being the biggest out there, he wants to keep his brand exclusive and as the tags on his clothes say, "rich in tradition".     Bert didn't grow up playing golf, he made his name as a professional skate and snowboarder.  Bert is also known for raising the bar in the snowboarding industry with...

The golf-grip™ is a hassle free, ergonomically designed training aid that will help you ingrain proper mechanics in gripping the golf club

Posted

Pros: Easy to slide on, appealing design, versatile

Cons: Promotes short left thumb rather than long left thumb

I was pleasantly surprised the first time I experimented with the golf-grip™.  I'm personally not a huge fan of traing aids but I really liked how my hands felt on the club when I slipped it on.  The golf-grip™ is a pocket friendly product that allows golfers to improve or ingrain a good grip.  They say "perfect" but I've learned to avoid that word when it comes to golf   Ben Hogan said that good golf begins with a good grip.  While there is a lot of truth to that statement it's also important to understand there are several different styles of how to grip the club.  Several "good" grips to use IMO.  The grip is important, but the...

Will help speed up play and confusion; KP Golf Tape is a no brainer for golf tournaments or Greenie bets

Posted

Pros: Many uses, Durable, Only need one person to use it

Cons: Heavy if you're carrying it and walking

Throughout high school and college I played in a few regular groups where the KP Golf Measuring Tape would have been very useful. We had various bets going on during the round.  One of them was a Greenie bet (closest to the hole on par 3's) that were worth $5 and at least once a week you'd find one of us trying to figure who's closest by pacing the distance or using our putters to "measure".  If only we had the KP Tape, it would have saved us time and maybe even a few arguments    What exactly is the KP Golf Tape?  It's a 100 foot tape measure with an end specially designed to clamp to a flagstick.  No instrucutions needed, very simple...

Great Tool For Any Golfer with an iPhone

Posted

Pros: iPhone is secure in the Holster, Lightweight, Versatile

Cons: Need to take iPhone out of case, Best on a grass range

You know a product is good when you're introduced to it and say to yourself, "Why didn't I think of that?".  For me the ProtoSports Holster is one of those products.  It's easy to use, easy to store in your golf bag and it's a practical tool for your golf game.   While I usually use a high speed camera to film myself or my son, I can see how others would find this option a lot easier when they practice.  Here's what I like about the Holster:   Pros:  - Great back-up option if you normally use a camera to film yourself.  There isn't a time I won't have my phone with me, so it's comforting knowing that the ProtoSports Holster is in my...
