Leupold GX-3i

Pros: Accurate as hell.

Cons: Pricey

I've gone back and forth with rangefinders and GPS before.  I've had the Bushnell 1500, SkyCaddie(s)..etc.  I decided to try the Leupold GX-3i DNA.  It's the newer (current) version of the GX-3.    PROS: The only functional change is that it is MUCH quicker than the GX-3 in calculating yardages, almost too fast.  It also tells you yardages to the tenth (.1) of the yardage..so you will get reading like 155.8 and etc.  It feels like well made device and has a nice heft to it.  It is SMALL, about the size of the palm of your hand (maybe less if your a man-ly man)   CONS: It's pricey..think they are going for $350, retail.  If...

One of the best performing putters.  The concentric grooves REALLY do work and put that extra roll on the ball for most amateurs who come up short.  It is also face balanced which makes it easier to putt.  I highly recommend trying one to see for yourself.  You can usually find these on Ebay now for a really great price.

Great Ball!

Pros: Price factor and feel!

Cons: None.

I've been playing the Srixon Soft-Feel for a couple months now and they feel grreat!  They truly are soft feeling, almost like a ProV1X.  I, like many of you, like a soft feeling ball but don't want a "Rock Flite" type of ball.  This ball is such a blessing.  It is great off the tee and soft around the green.    The main thing with it is that it does not have that harsh/tick-tick feeling like other "cheaper" costing balls.  There's a newer version of the Soft-Feel that is out now that retails for $19.99/dozen.  I think the only difference is they are calling the newer version "Pure White"..but the older version are "white" enough..and for $5...

Pros: Basically, add 1 stoke to normal par..and play within your means.

Cons: After the first few chapters the rest is more the author's view of the perfect swing..which is highly interpretivem..of course.

Okay, I just finished reading this book and I did know that basically it was going to "teach" you the Level Fives..or basically play every hoel as a par 5.  Eventually, it is assumed you will get a par or a few or better during your round and VOILA!! you just broke 90..easy..right?  (Actaally it does work..)    BUT, I was hoping that there was going to be ALSO more that the book would go into, but the rest, or majority, is basically a guide on proper golf posture and setup and execution which I already know.  For example, it goes into how you should open your stance for a fade and close you stance for a draw..duh!  For folks, like myself, who are on the...
