Mizuno JPX-825 3 wd

Posted

Pros: Great looking, it makes you think you got a 5wood in your hand

Cons: don't know

First off all i like it that there is no adjustability on this club. It's just a great all black wood. I have this club with a Fujikura Orochi Red Eye stiff shaft with 75 grams. half an inch shorter and the loft was bent to 14 degrees. I have to say this is the first wood i can consistent off the deck. Behind the ball it looks you have tons off loft. Than you have a square face what i like to see in a wood. I must be honest it's not the longest wood i've owned or hit. But the consistency is making up that loss easy.   It makes a very powerful sound, giving you the feeling you absolutely nailed it. So this thing just performs. If your searching for a 3wood that...

Mizuno JPX825 Driver

Posted

Pros: nice all black finish, easy to hit, low spin, high flight

Cons: a more traditional round shape would have been nice

Went for a fitting because i struggled lately with my R11 and lost confidence. I had hit several drivers Ping I20 was my best fit when i tried the Mizuno MP650 I just hit this one great, only i didn't like the open bias it was on. Than the JPX was given to me. I straight on liked the feel of the club, The stock shaft Fujikura Orochi blue eye was a bit to weak for me, and i asked  if he could get the Red Eye shaft from the MP650 in this one.  This was the match for me. I hit a couple off shots that i just nailed. had a launch angle 11.8 deg. but my spin was 2672 rpm. A great combination. So actually the driver does what Mizuno says it does. High launch low spin....

Golf Pride Niion White/Neon Green

Pros: Soft feel

Cons: ?

I was looking after some new grips, i had the old GP new decade ones. I only think these are quit hard. So went looking for a full rubber grip, and actually i was looking for GP Tour velvet ones. Than i saw there are new ones also. Still not available in the Netherlands but when searching for an online store  to get a Super Stroke putter grip i ran into these Niion grips. Looked after it online and just purchased after that.  Well they do what they supposed to do. It's a nice feeling grip, soft and you can feel there is some technology behind it. Left hand is in a little harder part off the grip, and the colorful design makes it easy to get your hands straight on...

Super stroke Slim 3.0

Pros: great soft feel

Cons: busy looking print

After struggling for a long time with the putter, i was trying to figure out what was wrong, i was missing almost all putts on the left. I asked one off my friends to make a video with my mobile off my stroke to see what was going on. He closed up on my hands in the stroke. After taking a look at the movie i noticed that my wrist worked just slightly on the backswing. Because of that clubface was closed on all my putts. Tried a few drills to keep wrist from moving but that didn't work. I was thinking a jumbo grip would help me. I posted a treat here and asked about what grip would fit best. Got more than a few responses about the super stroke grip. So i went to look for one....

TM R11 rescue hybrid

Pros: great looks, ball comes off the face hot even on mis hits

Cons: soleplate

First off all i really like the looks off this club, the white head black face i just love that. The head is nice and shallow. I have the 18 degree ( 2 iron ) version in my bag with aldila rip 65 gr stiff ( i think this is the stock shaft ). And i use this club for the gap between  my 3wd and 3 iron.  I love the feel off the face, it comes off hot but not to springy. And i can work the ball pretty easy. If you wish a club that gets the ball in the air however this just might not be the right stick, i get a fairly low boring trajectory with  this club what i like!  Before this hybrid i had the cobra baffler pro but fir me it had to much offset, the R11...

Taylormade ATV Wedge

Pros: great reaction with turf

Cons: big sole

My first thought was no way this is going to work. I had a hit with them using them from a club member. they are so easy to hit, and have good spin on them. Hitting a flopshot was never so easy.  Out of the rough it's not digging in like most wedges it realy cuts its way true. I bought a 52 and 58 degree. the 52 is great out of tight lies and  hard fairways. The 58 is great to use for all kind of shots round the green, without  having to worry about contact.  Just a good wedge!

Pros: blade look iron, fine lines, minimal offset, forgiving, great soft feel

Cons: little noisy sound

I was fitted for these irons with KBS Tour c tapper stiff shafts. Went looking for a new set off irons because i was ballooning my last set ( taylormade tour preferred '08 with DG R 300) I played the business competition  yesterday and that was the first time i had a hit with them. I didn't had time to go to the range first because i was running late. Starting at the first hole a 330 yard par 4 with dogleg right. I tought i go for safety first and hit the first shot with my brand new 3 iron. I made a solid easy swing and i bombed it. The feel off hitting it in the center is as you will expect from a mizuno mp iron. By far the best feel in a forged iron. During the round i had i...

Tour preferred irons

Pros: clasic shape, blade look, forgiving

Cons: non conforming

This is just a great iron to hit. It has the shape off a blade, but as forgiving as a muscleback iron. The feel is so good, you can feel so wel what your doing with the club, for me to bad i have the wrong shafts in them now. I picked up the game now, and playing alot more than i used to, and i should have stiffer shafts in them  i have the Dynamic Gold R300 shafts in If anyone is interested in purchasing leave me a coment.

Cobra Baffler Pro 2 with Pro launch red shaft

Posted

Pros: Nice small head, less offset, great shaft

Cons: ??

Bought this club to fill in the gap between my 3 wd and 3 iron. It's just amazing how easy this club is hit. It's so easy to get the ball in the air, with a great ballflight. i even had some good spin on the ball, like the ball was only 7/8 feet from his pitchmark. Love this club.   It feels good, solid at impact and there is no offset on the club what i like most about this club.

Taylormade R 11 TP 3wd With Aldila R.I.P.

Posted

Pros: white non glare crown, great feel, easy at adress, ajustable

Cons: alot of money

It was a long wait but finaly i got my R11 TP 3wd. So i took it straight to the range and course.   First of all i think this club just looks great, and that is not just because of the white finish, it's the shape that gives alot of confidence. What is also nice at adress you can't see all the technology behind the club, from the top this is just a well shaped 3 wd.   I didn't make any ajustments on this club ( my driver has an open soleplate )   On the range i was going trough my clubs as i normaly would do  ( 54 wedge, 9 iron, 7 iron, 5 iron, 3 iron ) I can tell you i was exited like a little boy to finaly get the wood out, I was on the range with...
