The 2014 Nike Performance Hybrid Carry Bag gets an A+!

Posted

Pros: Material, Craftsmanship, Quality, Light-Weight, Sturdy Construction, 14 Individual and Full-Length Dividers, Colors, Abundance of Space and Pockets

Cons: None

This year, I was looking for the perfect golf bag that would provide me with comfort, ease of mind, quality and at least several years of use. In my search, I spent hours and hours researching every light weight stand bag available from several years past to 2014 releases. In all of my searching, the usual suspects that kept on appearing were Sun Mountain and Ogio bags. Knowing that a friend of mine swears by Ogio, I was nearly locked in on my purchase of an Ogio Shredder - until I came across the Nike Performance Hybrid Carry/Stand Bag. This bag is absolutely amazing. I was lucky enough to purchase mine for $175.00 from a local retailer, in the University Red/White Check color scheme....

These are hands down the most comfortable golf shoes I have ever owned. This, coming from a previous Nike loyalist!

Pros: Comfort, Stability, Grip, Light-Weight

Cons: Thin Laces

The Foot Joy Contour Series #54051 are the most comfortable pair of golf shoes that I ever purchased. I typically wear a size 13 in street shoes and width is often a problem for me. The 'Medium' in any shoe, especially golf shoes, is typically way too narrow in the instep while 'Wide' is often too wide.   I sat inside of Golf Galaxy trying on literally every single shoe that they had that I was interested in, while staying in the price range of $100-150. The last pair of shoes that I tried on were the FJ Contour 54051, Size 13 (Medium). From the minute I tried on the right shoe, I knew these were soon going to be on the counter at the register.   I just purchased these...

Callaway X Series Jaws CC Wedge

Posted

Pros: Feel, Grip, Weight, Address Esthetics, Spin, Confidence

Cons: None

I purchased a 54/12 and a 58/8 on October 3, 2012. I am very impressed with the look, feel, spin and confidence that these clubs produce and promote. These are hands down my favorite wedges that I have ever owned, or used. I prefer these over the Cleveland 588s/CG series and the Vokey.   These wedges will never leave my bag unless they're stolen. Fingers crossed that they're not stolen!

Deer Pass Golf Course is Fun and Affordable!

Posted

Pros: Cheap Rates, Well-Maintained Course, Friendly Staff, Challenging Course, Awesome Greens!

Cons: Course is still undergoing improvement with active construction during hours of play

Deer Pass Golf Course is an absolutely phenomenal course to play when the weather conditions are right. Unfortunately, there are some distractions as heavy machinery was on the course during the majority of the 2012 season. However, with this being my home course, I was more than understanding and pleased as I know that the noise and distraction is only there to provide me with a better course to play on moving forward into 2013 and beyond.   Deer Pass used to be a complete and utter cow pasture. However, this is has been turned around by the new General Manager.. Chad Gibson. He has brought multiple courses from cow pastures to pristine courses in the matter of a couple years...
