Typical Irvine...overpriced

Posted

Pros: Great staff/service, really fun course layout

Cons: Overpriced, not in the best shape as of 5/26/14

Played here for the first time on Memorial day (5/26/14). My buddy had a free pass and some other discount, so we split one discounted green fee $44/each. The guy we played with paid full price (holiday rate) at $160. We didn't tell him how much we paid, he was too nice of a guy lol. From the Blue tees: 6,270 yards, 70.7/131.   Anyway...was really impressed with the staff. Everyone was super nice and went the extra mile to provide a great experience. Loaded our clubs onto our cart for us, gave us extra tees and free bottles of water. I loved how the first tee was not visible from the club house and they have you wait until the group in front is on the green until they even send you...

Super spin!

Posted

Pros: Great feel and spin.

Cons: Lost a LITTLE distance w/ driver

As others have said, the ball spins like mad! It feels REALLY soft, even off the putter. I loved the feel off my irons and wedges because I knew I'd get tons of check and only a little roll out with long irons.    I have used the balls for 3 rounds now, and I can definitely say that I lose 5-10 yards with my driver compared to the normal ball I use. The roll out kinda disappears. I have recently been fitted for a new driver that reduced my spin numbers, so the ball is kinda fighting what I'm trying to do with the driver.   They are pretty durable considering how soft they are.   I'm torn on the short game aspect . . I love the way they perform when chipping. At...

Great hybrid!

Posted

Pros: Looks, adjustable, long.

Cons: I haven't found any yet...

I'm not one to review clubs unless they really improve my game, and this amazing hybrid did just that. I purchased a the 2/3 hybrid after selling my SGI irons and hybrids, and the first thing that pulled me in was the look...small head, stock shaft and grip look great, neutral setting is actually neutral, cool color scheme   The smaller head gives so much more confidence that I will get that solid contact in all lies. Ball gets in the air with minimal effort. The stock stiff shaft feels super solid. It has a nice quiet "ping" that I love. The small head also seems to help with alignment and accuracy, IMO. If you are in the market for a new hybrid, do not overlook this...
