Hole #1: Sneds’ New Record and Mr. 54
Brandt Snedeker shot a record 22-under in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am for a three-shot win over Nick Watney. That win will help wash away the memory of 2014, a dismal one for Snedeker. Also of note, Jim Furyk has now failed to win after leading a tournament through 54 holes for the ninth consecutive time since his last win in 2010. It was his first start in five months, however. Hole #2: Royal & Ancient Grants Seven Women Membership
Renee Powell and Annika Sorenstam were two of the seven women announced last week as honorary members the Royal & Ancient Golf Club, thereby ending 260 years of male-only membership. [Link]

Hole #4: Dodt Does It
Aussie Andre Dodt beat local favorite Thongchai Jaidee and Scott Hend by a stroke to claim the Thailand Classic, which is oddly on the Euro Tour. The World’s Most Interesting Golfer led the young guys through 54 holes, but Miguel Angel Jimenez finished T7. [Link]

I used to think this only happened to Howard Hughes, but once again an airplane used a fairway for an emergency landing. There were no injuries. [Link]

Colin Montgomery was leading after 54 holes, but on Sunday it was Lee Janzen who prevailed over Bart Bryant in a playoff at the ACE Group Classic. Good thing Jimenez went to play the young guys this week. [Link]
