Volume Thirty-Two

I’m dropping the links like they’re hot this week.

Hittin' the LinksSo, I’ve put a lid on my golf season. I just got back from Houston and playing some golf with my dad and brother. We had a good time with great weather, but I think, unfortunately, that will be all the golf had for me in 2005. I had fun and this year has really got me energized to find a place to play in 2006. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest, I’d rank my enjoyment, quality of play, and improvement as a 7. Not a great year, but certainly not a bad year either. How has everyone’s year been? Leave your thoughts in the comments.

Now, on to the links!

Hole 1: Alabama’s Turn
I’ve plugged these before and I’ll do it once more. Alabama is the golf destination this week. Check out where to play. [link]

Hole 2: The Golf Channel = Boring
I don’t know about you, but for me, the golf channel has become super boring. The shows suck, the hosts are boring. The one person who isn’t boring, Steve from Big Break 1, is flat out annoying on the Grey Goose 19th hole. And, don’t even get me started on their website. [link]

Hole 3: Buddha Balls
I’m not sure if there’s a market for this sort of gift, but it’s golf related and has Buddha on it, so it has to be mentioned. [link]

Hole 4: Wie Will Rock You
In case you haven’t had your fill of Michelle Wie coverage (Rafi), here’s an article about all the money she’ll be making. [link]

Hole 5: But Wait, There’s More!
More Wie. Wieeeeeeee!!!! But only in pictures! I can’t stop using exclamation points because there’s so much Michelle Wie coverage!!! [link

Hole 6: Derek Jeter Celebrity Golf Classic
Apparently, since the Yankees aren’t in the World Series, Jetes has some time to plan his annual golf tournament. I wonder why The Sand Trap isn’t invited? But, be sure to save the date! [link]

Hole 7: Big Winner
When a potential PowerBall winner was asked what he would do if he won, he responded, “Not work,” he said, then changed it to work less. “It would be nice to be debt-free. I’d spend a lot more time with my kids and do the things I like to do — golf.” My question, you’d put your kids in front of golf!? [link]

Hole 8: TeeGo
This looks sweet. I want one. Maybe it would work while I’m watching football? Like, it could put down a new cheeseball or something. That’s multiple uses and more justification! [link]

Hole 9: My Favorite Link This Week
Never fails. The guys at OddJack give me something to believe in. This is redonkadic. I love it. Please read. It’s worth it. [link]

  1. I have to disagree with you on the 2nd hole. I watch the golf channel quite a bit. I enjoy watching Nationwide, LPGA, Champions and European Tour coverage. The Big Break is pretty good too. However, I will agree that Steve Duemig from the Grey Goose 19th hole is flat out loud and annoying. In fact, I think he should be on some kind of medication.
