Volume Two Hundred Thirty Seven

Tiger hands out a bunch of souvenirs, Lefty hits it off the cart path, and Justin Rose takes home the hardware

Hittin' the LinksHello again golf fans and welcome to Hittin’ the Links. What is really up with Ricky Fowler’s wardrobe? Does he get paid extra to show up on the golf course looking like an orange construction barrel? Does Puma actually sell that ensemble in pro shops around the country? To each their own, but you would think they could at least find him a hat that fits, the one he wore all week looked like he had borrowed it from his older and obviously larger brother.

Anyway, in this newest edition of HTL we begin with a look at Tiger’s victims, find out what Tom Lehman learned from John Wooden, and investigate Lefty’s 15th hole on Sunday. Also, we check out the USGA’s change of heart, take a peek at a heck of a graduation trip, and do a wrap-up of the weeks events. Read on!

  1. What is the deal with the complete lack of reviews? I used to check this site almost every day to see if you had new equipment reviews… Did you stop doing them? If not, it’d be nice to have a few during the peak of the golf equipment buying season…

  2. not sure what everybodys deal w RF is!!?? Seriously….he’s a young kid. Just becuase he doesnt dress like a 70 yr old Grandpa, with his pants to his armpits and khaki pants, everyones a hater. Who cares if he wants to wear all orange? And the hat…man im tiredof hearing about the hat. Get w the times people. This is how kids wear hats today, 100% inspired by the motocross industry (again, Rickie is an ex-dirtbike rider).

He is trying to be different and be remembered…..and PUMA has pretty much redesigned their line up around him. Where was or WHO was PUMA before RF??

He is doing great things for this game and will be around for a while…Get used to the orange in Sundays, cause we will be seeing a lot of it

  3. Who was PUMA??? You’re kidding, right… Maybe PUMA Golf wasn’t as prominent without Fowler, but come on, PUMA has been huge for years with runners… Usain Bolt Who?

  4. I think it’s nice that there are more adventurous and daring clothes out there for golf players now. Players should be able to express themselves freely in what they wear, and he is a young lad, why should in dress up in the norm that is golf wear. At the end of the day isn’t it all about the game anyway? And we all know what a good player he is!
