You know what to expect from Hittin’ the Links<\/em> by now. A whole bunch of links, quite unrelated, except for the fact that I found them interesting enough to throw them together in the same pile. \nHole 1: Worst Lie Ever<\/strong>
\nNothing riles me up more than hitting a great drive, only to walk up to my ball and discover that it is resting in a divot. Well let’s just say that I would take that lie over this one any day. It’s pretty ridiculous. [Link<\/a>]<\/p>\n

Hole 2: Erica Blasberg Is Hot<\/strong>
\nDear Erica, I’m a handsome gentleman golfer-type looking for a gorgeous twenty-something female professional golfer to beat balls with (yes, pun intended). Anyways, here’s Erica’s website, it’s pretty media rich, enjoy. [Link<\/a>]<\/p>\n

Hole 3: Not So Obvious Reasons for a Rangefinder<\/strong>
\nAfter playing a few rounds with Erik (who employs a Bushnell Pinseeker), I came to appreciate how useful that little tool is. However, the uses of rangefinders is not limited to “distance to flag.” Hooked On Golf brings up some good points in this article. [Link<\/a>]<\/p>\n

Hole 4: Range Mats Hurt Your Game<\/strong>
\nI hate hitting balls off the mat at the range. I can’t help but feel like its hurting my game. Sure, you can spin a wedge off the mats like none other, but you can’t take a divot, which as we all know is an important factor in ball striking. Grouchy Golf spells it out for us. [Link<\/a>]<\/p>\n

Hole 5: GolfingZen Podcasts<\/strong>
\nI find GolfingZen’s podcasts very relaxing and while I’m not Zen Buddhist (the podcast is Zen oriented, duh), I still find the subject matter interesting and enjoy the listen, hopefully you will too. [Link<\/a>]<\/p>\n

Hole 6: Badds Site<\/strong>
\nWhat is it with Australians having efficient golf swings? Geoff Ogilvy, Baddelley, Appleby: they all have very good looking swings. Anyways, I like Baddelley, and was very happy to see him win this year in Hilton Head. Here’s his official website, it’s worth a look. [Link<\/a>]<\/p>\n

Hole 7: Slump No More<\/strong>
\nVijay finally puts one away. After nearly a year (alright, slight exaggeration) Vijay has a PGA Tour Title to his name. I found this year’s Barclay’s Classic very entertaining thanks to having Vijay and Adam Scott playing together in the final round, I look for both of them to do well next week at Winged Foot. Hole 8: Wie Pitches at Oriole’s Game<\/strong>
\nFinally, something in the news about Michelle Wie without mentioning the U.S. Open. I saw the pitch on TV and thought it was funny that a girl who swings a golf club so much like a man still throws a baseball like a girl. This MLB.com article is worth a read. [Link<\/a>]<\/p>\n

Hole 9: Daly Wins Skins Game<\/strong>
\nPlaying in an event hosted by Jim Furyk, Daly walks away with his first win a long while. However, when I was reading this article, the most noteworthy thing I noticed was that Furyk withdrew from his own event due to back problems, which is very unfortunate with the U.S. Open coming up this week.
