Hmmm, Monday again. That can mean only one thing, another busload of links already chewed up and available for easy digestion. From a ton of Tiger Woods video clips, to Golf Babes, to the anatomy of a shank, you can kill at least twenty minutes to a solid half hour with these babies.<\/p>\n

\nHole 1: Golf Babes<\/strong>
\nThere has been a lot of talk lately about the pretty young players on the LPGA tour, this has encouraged at least one golf fan to create his own site around them. Although the writing on the site can sometimes sound borderline perverse (not outwardly perverse, just awkwardly worded) it is still worth a look. [Link<\/a>]<\/p>\n

Hole 2: U.S. Open Champ: Distance is Bad<\/strong>
\nGeoff Ogilvy has begun to use his championship victory as a soapbox to join the preachers denouncing the distance game. This struck me as interesting because as skinny as Geoff is, he hits the ball a mile. Most of the “game in ruins” preachers are in the lower end of the “distance” spectrum, but not Geoff. Hole 3: Mickelson Hater<\/strong>
\nI was pretty surprised by the diction and tone of this article because the fact that someone could be more openly put off by Mickelson than myself was a possibility I had not thought possible. I don’t like Phil, but this guy takes it to a new level in his critique of Lefty’s 72nd U.S. Open hole. [Link<\/a>]<\/p>\n

Hole 4: Anatomy of a Shank<\/strong>
\nEver notice Swingvision while watching a CBS golf telecast? The super-slo-mo camera allows Peter Kostis to critique just about every facet of a player’s swing. I never knew Darren Clarke had a problem with the shanks, but Swingvision caught him in the act and the resulting images are not pretty. [Link<\/a>]<\/p>\n

Hole 5: Tons of Tiger Videos and Interviews<\/strong>
\nI absolutely relish listening to Tiger Woods talk about golf and the golf swing. 60 Minutes has put together a bunch of video clips and interviews, including the very cool “Eye of The Tiger” segment in which Tiger attached a mini-camera to the bill of his hat to give the viewer the perspective that they’re him. Hole 6: Forged Irons Are Good For You<\/strong>
\nI’ve recently made the switch from cast iron cavity-backs to forged semi-blades and I wish I had done it much sooner. My new sticks give me so much more feel and feedback its ridiculous! Hole 7: U.S. Open Inside Stories<\/strong>
\nSports Illustrated had the inside track at the U.S. Open and were able to recount numerous stories from behind the scenes for our reading pleasure. The author ranks several occurrences and describes each. I know, I know, the Open was weeks ago, get over it. I just can’t. [Link<\/a>]<\/p>\n

Hole 8: Annika Not Looking Strong For Women’s Open<\/strong>
\nI had no idea the last U.S. Women’s Open Annika won was in 1996! The women travel to The Newport Club in Rhode Island, the namesake of the annual staff “tournament”<\/a> here at The Sand Trap. We’ll see if Annika and chalk up another W or if Michelle Wie can finally break through this week. [Link<\/a>]<\/p>\n

Hole 9: Han Faldo<\/strong>
\nNick Faldo may be my favorite golfer ever whose name is not Eldrick Woods or Ben Hogan and I love listening to Nick in the broadcast booth. I’ve heard the nickname Han Faldo before, and realized that it was playing on his likeness to Han Solo, but I was excited to see a breakdown online.
