\"BagBridgestone Golf, which has made a name for itself as of late for their B330 and e-Series balls, is set to unveil their newest set of irons at the upcoming PGA Merchandise show. While producing irons (and clubs in general for that matter) is nothing new for Bridgestone, the company is not as well known for it, at least not here in the states. They aren’t the kind of company that rolls out a new set of irons every six months, and in fact, it was nearly a decade ago that their J33 came out. In Orlando, the company will show off its new J15 family of forged irons which contain four different options, each aimed a different type of player.

\n\"Bridgestone<\/a><\/p>\n

The first, and most traditional of the four, is the J15MB Muscle Backs. These clubs are constructed of premium Carbon Steel and the focus of these clubs is to deliver the best feel possible. The head has been designed with the best of players in mind and features an ultra-compact design with allows for maximum shot shaping and versatility. To increase and improve on turf interaction, these clubs have the narrowest and flattest version of the company’s Sure Contact Sole, which helps those that tend to have more aggressive swings. As of now, these are the clubs in the bag of Davis Love III.<\/p>\n

\"Bridgestone<\/a><\/p>\n

Also seeing play on tour (in the bags of Matt Kuchar and Brandt Snedeker) are the J15CB Cavity Backs. Like their muscle back counterparts, these clubs are constructed of the same premium Carbon Steel for increased playability. The head, while not as small as the MB version, is still compact and allows for a number of different shots. These clubs feature a wider version of the Sure Contact Sole which helps to ensure constant contact and turf interaction but with a little added forgiveness, which even better players can appreciate.<\/p>\n

\"Bridgestone<\/a><\/p>\n

Moving along in the progression of the J15 irons are the J15DF Driving Forged irons. Unlike the one piece construction of the MBs and CBs; the J15DF use a two piece construction for an ideal balance of feel and forgiveness. These clubs have a hidden, hollow cavity located between the front and rear of the clubhead to provide increased ball speed and more distance. Discretionary weight has also been relocated to the perimeter of the club, adding to its forgiveness.<\/p>\n

\"Bridgestone<\/a><\/p>\n

The last of the line up is the J15DPF Dual Pocket Forged Irons. Like the others, these clubs are forged from premion Carbon Steel and have the same great feel. However, those are the only ones in the set to utilize the company’s Turbo Rubber Design. This allows for weight to be moved towards the perimeter of the club with increases MOI and forgiveness while also increasing feel at impact. While the club heads are larger than either the CB or MB designs, the company says that the mid-size design provides Toru control and offers confidence inspiring appearance at address. These clubs also feature a wide, rounded version of the Sure Contact Sole which allows for consistent contact and turf interaction with minimal resistance and added forgiveness on off center hits.<\/p>\n

\"Bridgestone<\/a><\/p>\n

While the company isn’t maybe as well known as others with regards to golf clubs, many would tell you that it would be hard to find a better looking or performing set than these J15 irons. Whether you’re that better player looking for something sleek and simple like the MB or CB or somebody a little further up on the handicap scale needing some more forgiveness, Bridgestone says that they have the right clubs for you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
