\"JoeDuring the second day of the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic<\/a>, the strong trend of low scoring<\/a> continued across the professional ranks. Today it was Joe Ogilvie<\/a> who took a three shot lead with a stellar nine-birdie, no-bogey round of 63. Ogilvie, who played at Bermuda Dunes<\/a>, recognized that the most difficult rounds of golf were still to come, saying: “Mickelson shot a 64 today at La Quinta. I’d say technically he’s probably leading. Score-wise, I am, but technically I’d say he’s leading.” Indeed, Mickelson has played well early in this tournament, now at 14-under par after turning in rounds of 66 and 64. First round leader Robert Damron<\/a> is also close behind 4-shots back with five other players.

\nAlthough Ogilvie leads the pack at 17-under, low scores were spread throughout the leaderboard. In fact, only ten players finished today at even-par or higher. However, there are several notable names included in that list. 2003 Champion, Mike Weir is T-118 along with big-hitter Hank Kuehne. David Duval continues his regression towards hacker status and is currently in last place scoring 17-over par after rounds of 82 and 79. Although the first two rounds may have been harsh to these players, they can take solace in the fact that they still have two more rounds to improve their scoring, and are only a few shots away from being in the top 70.<\/p>\n
