{"id":450,"date":"2005-02-02T06:46:28","date_gmt":"2005-02-02T11:46:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thesandtrap.com\/uncategorized\/2005_bob_hope_chrysler_classic\/"},"modified":"2005-02-02T06:46:28","modified_gmt":"2005-02-02T11:46:28","slug":"2005_bob_hope_chrysler_classic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thesandtrap.com\/b\/winning_gear\/2005_bob_hope_chrysler_classic","title":{"rendered":"2005 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/b\/imgs\/pga\/justin_leonard.jpg\" alt=\"Justin Leonard\" width=\"189\" height=\"262\" class=\"bordered\" \/>Justin Leonard may have just switched to Nike, but it didn&#8217;t hold him back at all as <a href=\"http:\/\/thesandtrap.com\/pga\/hope_and_some_new_sticks_propel_leonard\/\" title=\"Justin Leonard Wins Bob Hope\">he won his second event<\/a>, the 2005 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, with the new sticks:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Driver<\/strong> Nike Ignite (410cc) 9.5&deg;<br \/>\n<strong>3, 4 Wood<\/strong> Nike Ignite T-60<br \/>\n<strong>Irons (3-PW)<\/strong> Nike Forged Blade<br \/>\n<strong>Wedges (SW, LW)<\/strong> Nike Forged 54&deg;, 58&deg;<br \/>\n<strong>Putter<\/strong> Scotty Cameron Newport<br \/>\n<strong>Ball<\/strong> Nike One Black<\/p>\n<p>There was speculation that Leonard, one of the better wedge players on tour, hadn&#8217;t yet switched to Nike wedges, but that&#8217;s not true. People may have confused Leonard with Phil Mickelson, the new Callaway poster boy, who still plays with his Vokeys. How such confusion could occur is beyond me. After all, Leonard doesn&#8217;t even need a training bra!
