\"NissanPlay in the second round of the Nissan Open was pushed back four hours due to rain and eventually suspended, as many players – including first-round leader Brian Davis<\/a> – didn’t even get a chance to tee off.<\/p>\n

Chad Campbell teed off, though, and nearly holed out two shots en route to a 6-under 65 that catapulted him into a three-shot lead over Robert Allenby. Davis was about to tee off on ten when the siren signaling the end of play due to darkness sounded, ending his round before it had even begun.

\nAllenby, currently in second through one and a half rounds, last won on the PGA Tour in a rain-soaked six-man playoff at the 2001 Nissan Open. Following his round today he said “I haven’t been hitting the ball very well. My short game has been terrible. My putting has been horrendous. I have been driving the ball pretty bad. And I’ve been hitting my irons pretty average, too.” If his 6-under 65 is his D game, well, watch out if he finds his A or B game, eh?<\/p>\n

Tiger Woods’ putting troubles continued in the few holes he played. Woods missed a four-foot eagle putt on his opening hole and a ten-foot birdie attempt at the third. One under through four, he faces a grueling 32-hole Saturday, weather permitting.<\/p>\n

And, what about that new goatee Tiger is sporting? “It’s called boredom,” he joked on Thursday. Perhaps he should practice putting the next time he’s bored.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
