I like how Kupcho is just out playing Fassi. No weird breaks, dumb mistakes. Kupcho just playing better golf.

This last hole has gotten ugly but otherwise it was pretty good.  Having no other way to choose between one or the other, I had to root for Kupcho because I hate Fassi's sunglasses on anyone.

Yeah that’s a bit of a conundrum. I’m having more interest in the Amateur match but only because it’s Augusta. It seems a bit of an attempt to promote women’s golf in general but I’m sure the LPGA would like those extra viewers as well but they’d catch hell to complain about it so....

The LPGA isn’t even on right now and they finish tomorrow.

This is a great weekend for women’s golf.

Now why the hell would you have to go and say something completely logical and reasonable like that??

They are only playing 1 round at AGNC, and it is today (though they did get a practice round yesterday)

First goups just teeing off

I’m well aware the last round is at the National. What many are not aware of is the vast amount of work and supervision the National did at Champions Retreat.

I don't get GC so I only tuned in at noon to get NBC's coverage, which I thought was just fine! Lots of focus on the golf, a little "personal history" of the golfers, but not too much. And someone mentioned some different camera angles. I agree! I seemed to get a better idea of just how hilly Augusta was today.

I was rooting for a local girl, Haylee Harford, who acquitted herself quite well. Didn't win it, but finished on the first page of the leaderboard! And I was impressed by the size of the gallery. Nice turnout for amateur golf. Since Mill Creek began host AJGA tourneys and the YSU Ladies Invitational, I've been a big fan.

You can just walk out on the course, paying absolutely nothing, and watch some really good golf!

Jennifer Kupcho is a local. I was giving a rules seminar with a rules official today who knows her. He had nothing but great things to say about her. Happy that a local Coloradoan won it.

Hopefully they put out some more highlight videos. I have it on DVR and will try to watch it, but I was really hoping for a 5 minute highlight of her round. Or at least the back 9, because it sounds like she went on a ridiculous tear.

Not a fan of her Eric Estrada sunglasses either but I love her swing.

Sierra had a tough day on the greens yesterday but still managed to finish T-10.

Everyone’s pretty proud of her...and such a cool inaugural event to have been part of!

Kupcho was in the zone on the back. And while I don’t care for the sunglasses, Fassi’s swing is stupid good.

I may be wrong, but I can see her winning more on the LPGA than Kupcho.

Tuned in for an hour or so and really enjoyed watching.  I thought the golf was great and, as others mentioned, loved seeing some new camera angles.  The one putt Kupcho had on 15 from behind the green was hard to see the severe break.  Fassi hit her chip right before and lost it long and right.  They showed Kupcho's at ground-level and you could see how much break she needed to play.

I think it's a great way to expose women's golf.

Fairways and Greens.

    • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
    • Just stumbled onto the article.  Totally random and thought it might be interested to hear other thoughts. maybe I am tired of all the LIV crap and  this just caught my attention.
