It would be nice to see some more of the amateurs play. We see the pros almost every weekend

It's a major. The U.S. Open. I couldn't disagree more.

Tiger over the first 2 rounds was frustrating.  He did well to not be +10 his game is so bad.  Just don't think he's capable anymore when the courses demand accuracy.

Huh?

He couldn't have shot much higher today, according to TigerTracker and others. And yeah, he's tops in GIR and top 15 in SG:ATG:

How nice is it to have prime time golf on Thursday and Friday that isn't the "Battle at Bighorn"? All courtesy of Fox. I have to say, when they cover a sporting event, they dive in head first!

If only they’d send Joe Buck back to where he came from!

The drop areas they have for balls up against the grandstands (like on 14), do they change the locations every day? Wouldn't they get pretty beat up?

IDK but I love seeing this.  They do this at the Open too where the drop areas have really long grass.  One of my pet peeves about pro tour golf is seeing a guy blow one way off the course and then get relief due to a grandstand or TV tower.

You could hear the iPhone default text chime as Phil was about to hit his 3rd just now on 18. One thing I've noticed going to a couple tournaments the past few years is how common that it. Lot of people don't bother to silence their f***ing phone.

Driver: Titleist TSi3 | 15º 3-Wood: Ping G410 | 17º 2-Hybrid: Ping G410 | 19º 3-Iron: TaylorMade GAPR Lo |4-PW Irons: Nike VR Pro Combo | 54º SW, 60º LW: Titleist Vokey SM8 | Putter: Odyssey Toulon Las Vegas H7

After 34 holes he had one hole worse than par - (a double). Then he bogied his 35th and 36th holes. What tournament are you watching?

As they're fond of saying on TV, still a lot of golf to play. Maybe if I watch enough I can start to channel my inner Rory. Cheese but he's got a great swing...

Just don't channel your inner Patrick Reed.

Woodland seems like a mini Koepka. Has the same strut, same style and demeanor. Big hitter. Bores me a bit but he seems to be putting himself up there more in majors. Led after 36 at Bellerive too.

Honestly have no clue who is going to win this tournament. Pebble is a course where I feel like a surprise winner can ermerge like 2010, but there’s so many big names 3, 4, 5 and 6 back.

Maybe they can start charging the pros for range balls to really bring that feeling back.

    • Day 76 - Pretty sore today, so I opted for putting over my Stack session. Primary focus was on starting line, as my putting has been pretty poor this year.
    • Been a bit of delay in updates but I needed to come back east as my mom's health has taken a serious turn for the worse. In a 3 day span we learned she had a tumor to she has stage 4 cancer and stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She has had a rough 3 months but certainly didn't think we'd be at the point of setting up hospice for her. My mom was never into any sports really other than following the Red Sox because my dad was a big fan. She always cared about what we were involved in including asking about how golf went.  I have kept up with my 5 minutes of daily practice and will go to the gym here in NH tomorrow morning. Despite the somber nature of this trip my family has commented more than a few times about my weight loss so it's important to me to keep it up. I know my mom always wanted us happy in whatever we did so I'll continue with my fitness journey keeping that in mind.
    • Day 109- Putting drills on a putting green for 20 minutes.
    • Day 252: did a stack session. Did some slow rehearsal swings during breaks.
    • Day 82: 3/18/24 Tried a Stack session but could not certify my warmup. Finished with indoor chips and putting.
