The Rules of Golf allow you to mark and lift your ball to see if it's embedded, so that right remains his to exercise.

That he didn't then see a pitch mark that made sense was his ball's creation doesn't change the fact that he's entitled to look.

That video shed more light on Matt Kuchar, who has done quite a bit this year to slowly strip away the veneer he'd constructed over the previous 20 years or so.

I have to agree.  My guess is Kuchar lost a lot of fans especially those that were indifferent before - like me.

With regards to the tournament, I hope Tiger and Rory at least contends for the title.  But alas, Rory is not looking good after the first round.

Curious what Tiger’s front 9 scoring is this year compared to back 9 scoring. Couldn’t find any stats on it. Just seems like he gets off to slow starts every week but pulls it together on the other side.

I really liked Kuchar prior to this year.  Now, not as much.

How about Tiger's par-5 performance today?  You know the one.  I only saw the play-by-play, I'm going to have to check the video on it.  Guessing it isn't on the highlight reel.

I am guessing so.  All I saw was his first two shots, on play by play, look like vintage Tiger, then the rest of the hole looked like I was his DH.

Yeah that 15th was ugly. If he re-does that second shot he probably gets a 4 and is sitting at -5 after two rounds. And then he was a hair from chipping in at 18.

The best part is he’s playing the weekend and getting reps in for Pebble in two weeks. I know he’d love to win this week, but more importantly, he wants to get in form. He’s not playing bad at all.

Yeah he has to be brimming with confidence going to Pebble with this round. He is actually two swings from potentially being -15 right now. He would do anything to take those second shots back from 15 and 10 from earlier in the week.

I’m sick as hell over that. I was going to bet Cantlay and last second changed it and bet Matsuyama instead. Didn’t sleep at all last night.

Its the only time ive ever hit. 😂

Got mine in before the tournament. Cantlay was at +1800 at the time.
