@JustForeFun - Enjoy your retirement.  I find that golf is the most addictive sport, heck, the most addictive thing, I know.  You will have lots of fun, meeting new people if you so choose, by playing on different courses.  Lessons are very important at the beginning to help your game get to a level where self-improvement is possible
