Anyone in the Cincinnati, OH area or the Ann Arbor, MI area have any experience with Miles of Golf?  I'm looking to get fit for new clubs, but the golf galaxies and dicks sporting goods near me are basically worthless because I'm left handed.  I'm not a member of a country club, and the public courses don't seem to have a good left handed club selection for testing.  I think I missed all the demo days near me as well for the season.  Looks like Miles of Golf has quite the selection, so maybe they have some more lefty stuff available.  I was hoping to get down there this weekend, but I can't find a whole lot of reviews on them. Anyone give their thoughts?

Hey @RichWW2. I can speak to Miles of Golf. Mizuno had a demo day at Kittyhawk a few weeks ago. It's too bad you missed that. I'm sure there will be others still this summer, so I will let you know if I hear of any.

Since you're in town, let me know if you want to play sometime.

I just thought of this and looked up the video. You might want to check out Beavercreek GC. They have a Ping nFlight fitting center.

You might consider driving 1.5 hours to Waverly to visit McGolf Custom Clubs.

Not that it matters, but Jim is left handed too. He can get anything you want, although he might not have it on hand. Check out his blog and Youtube about how he does fittings.

Good things for Miles of Golf? I have no brand loyalty and very little thoughts on which clubs I'd want, so I'm open to anything.  Would that be worth the drive down?  I saw the Mizuno demo day, but I was out of town. :-(

Do you know if Beavercreek only has ping irons, or do they have a selection of brands?

I have a group that usually try to get out every weekend.  Ends up being around every other weekend.  Always looking for a 4th.  Let me know when you're heading out.  We probably get to kittyhawk once a month or so.

Cincy isn’t too far, so I would think it’s definitely worth the drive. I’m not sure if BCreek sells clubs other than Ping. I imagine they do, but I would certainly give Ping a test drive.

I have a membership to the city courses, so give me a shout if you ever need a 4th.

BTW, earlier I meant to say that I can’t speak to Miles of Golf, not can.

I've been to the Miles of Golf in AA.   I was impressed.   I believe you will be too.   They have a very good selection in various club choices, a very large range and they are highly rated in club fitting.

Ended up going to Miles of Golf yesterday and doing one of the fitting sessions.  I live on the south side of downtown, so it is about the same time for me to get down there as it is to get over to beavercreek.  They had a great selection of clubs and options, especially for a lefty.  Ended up getting AP3's.  Should be receiving them in two weeks. Cant wait!

Very cool! If they had that many options, it was probably a much better option. We will have to get out as soon as my foot heals. 😕

    • How? 🙂 Day 14 – Moving or Touching Loose Impediments or Touching Sand in a Bunker
    • If I am understanding this correctly, I've been able to, for over two and a half years now, move stones in bunkers, as long as doing so doesn't move my ball, same as I can do on the fairway or in the rough?   I either missed this entirely or forgot about it.
    • It was explained to me that they wanted people to remove stones, but not to give them so much freedom that they  could just go messing about willy nilly and moving their ball. So, what they came up with did that.
    • Previously the LR caused a stone to be treated like a MO in all respects. Now the rule doesn't.  Why not?  Why shouldn't the Rule simply deem a stone in a bunker as either a LI or treat it by Rule as one? A safety conscious player could incur a penalty for being safe about a stone but not a walnut.
