I can just see you grabbing for your Pabst in the examination room.  Nothing like a swig before performing a DRE.  😁

Lol I was going to say the same about Guinness. It's basically a light beer. Color has nothing to do with calories. I brew beer regularly and the hardest style of beer to brew is an American lager. It is near impossible with home equipment.

Thought you bought might find this article interesting:

Employees in the craft beer industry often spend their days tasting and analyzing heavy beers packed with flavor. Sometimes they like something...

The answer for me - I don't think it's ever too early. Especially when Michigan is playing in football, because I need it!

There really IS a time for drinking lighter.  I'm not much on the big lights, but I love a nice crisp pilsner in the heat of the summer.

Your mention of football reminded me of being in Hawaii in September a few times  East coast NFL football games start at 7 AM there, and that was definitely not too early for a drink.  They couldn't serve until 7, but they had a couple of dozen bloody mary glasses ready at the bar, just waiting to pour the vodka when the clock struck 7.

One on my buddies, and I had a chip/putt/practice/competition this morning.

Winner decided the choice of beverage, with the loser paying.

I won, (3 & 2) and chose a pitcher of beer.....for it's medicinal (hops) qualities. Supposed to be better than wine, coffee, and soda.

His retort was "it's too early for beer" that "coffee would be better". Nope, a bet is a bet. Beer it was.

So, how early, is too early for a couple glasses of $$$ Light?

It’s actually never too early for a well deserved reward like that... But one time, as we used to get free beers with our players club memberships, we got one of my friends three beers before the round started, and he ended up whiffing the first tee... and the second. Making second shots from the ladies tees, type of thing... So, too early? 😂

Our fourth, just joined us for the round, just kind of stared at us in disbelief with an expression that clearly stated he wanted to change foursomes?

Yeah, but unfortunately it was bud light this morning. Thats what he bought.

To me beer is beer, but I do like some of the Sam Adams beers. That, or a good German beer.

I bought a cheap ($6.99) 15 pack of beer the other day. Anhauser Busch "Natural Daddy". Stuff surprised me at 8% alcohol. Tasted like crap, but the 16 proof buzz was worthwhile.

This part of country is advertised as a "24 hour party town".

Funny how Guinness is like 4% and Natural Daddy is 8% must taste like water from all the filtering they have to do to it to make it drinkable 😂😂😂

Well. It depends

1. A good round going, 19th hole

2. A bad front 9, start drinking.

I like pretty much all beer (except sours and really fruity beers), and I still drink a decent amount of light beer. Sometimes, I just want something refreshing and with not many calories. A Michelob Ultra is great for that for me. Sometimes, I don't want a heavy tasting beer, either. Sure, I could get a Kolsch or something like that, and I frequently do. But a Michelob Ultra on a hot day after mowing the lawn is also great for me.

I think I'm the opposite of a beer snob in some sense. While I enjoy good beer, I also don't really look down on people who drink bad beer. Except Bud Light. That shit is gross. 😛

I can't look down on people that drink light beer, because all of my friends drink that stuff. Michelob Ultra with a couple limes is actually not too bad on a hot day. We drink it occasionally when we go camping.
