Walker Trolleys — The Upper Class Push Cart

Walker Trolleys - https://walkertrolleys.com - launched a Kickstarter today for their "minimalist" push cart. It's a great look, classic and pays homage to the push carts found in Scotland, made from high quality materials and so on.

I was the first backer of the project when it launched earlier today, and I encourage everyone here to check it out.

No, this isn't a push cart for everyone. If you're interested in the best all-around push cart, get a ClicGear (my daughter and I have three). This is a push cart that says something about you as a golfer, that you're refined, that you have taste, that you appreciate throwbacks and muscle backs and Hogan. That you contemplate playing with hickories (or actually do from time to time). That you appreciate the smell of fresh cut grass as much or more than winning $20 or drinking a beer while you play.

This push cart does look really stylish. Sturdy and well designed. It is missing a key function for me, an umbrella holder. I play nearly 40% of my rounds with the threat of rain or in rain so an umbrella holder is a critical function. 

Still, if I was in the market this would be near the top of the list.

Very classy looking trolley.  I will say that the console seems a bit lacking for today’s market.  Spent many years with 2 wheel pull carts where I stuffed everything in the bag.  My current cart has a closed console and I have come to really like the convenience.

i can see where umbrella and cup holders could be pretty easily added accessory (clamped or whatever).

It's a good looking trolley. It's not really my style. They'll have to pry my bright blue ClicGear 3.5+ from my cold dead hands. I don't think my bright blue Nike bag would look right on the back of a Walker Trolley. 

Even still, I may head over to kickstarter and support them. It's always cool to see a company you've supported make it. These guys seem like they have a pretty cool vision.

Yeah, they have a few other levels even if you don't want to buy a cart.

I've met the guy behind this company - briefly, but I have met him. Seems like a really good guy and very passionate about these. I love the look of the cart, and I would be very interested if I was in the market for a new cart at all. Right now, I have two of them at home, so I'm not really in the market. I will probably end up supporting the kickstarter without committing to the cart itself.

The ball markers are nice, and I have plenty of polos.

These guys got a nice little write up in this month's issue of Golf Magazine. 

I read this and was like "Hey I remember way back in October when  @iacas first told us about these guys on Kickstarter.

Totally cool. I assume of course that you will let us know when you get it and give us a full review. 

My guess is it might take a while to get it as all "non-essential" personnel are being asked to stay home these days. Not sure what that means from state to state, but I would imagine that it will delay your trolley at least to some degree.

Do I just need to write a prescription for them to stay open? I consider golf to be essential, especially at this time.  At least for me.

$399 for a push cart, personally don't see that from the pictures, and don't know if it is really elevating style and functionality, but that's just from my perspective.  Not something I would push around the course, but I'm sure others will like it, and I hope the company does well.

Just about 2", maybe a tiny bit wider.
