hello im new to the forums and am wondering who has tried the new zf and the pro blue i have a early to mid release  but agressive tempo and agressive transition but looking mid launch low spin for my ts4 8.5 head my favorite shaft of all time was the kuro kage silver tini  but looking for more stability and helping elimating a left miss club head speed bout 110 115

They are very similar profile wise, if you can hit one, you can hit the other. Most important thing is to get the weight correct. All that other stuff is of secondary importance.

Two points though, the shaft isn't going to keep the ball from going left, but the feel of a certain shaft may influence your swing such that it causes you to release the head early or change your path. Unfortunately that is not going to be apparent from looking at specs or asking other people their experience. You need to hit it and see. Second, be aware that the entire idea of mid launch low spin, is little more that marketing hype. Launch and spin are directly related. If you have a higher launching shaft, you will likewise have more spin, and vise versa.

That yellow is a whole different ball of wax with the counter balancing. Going to feel very different.

Sounds like you gravitate towards the classic blue board soft mid profile. You won't hear me bad mouth any Mitsu shaft, but you could also try a Graphite Design AD IZ, or one of the Fuji Atmos Blue or Speeder Evo shafts.

Again though, all these shafts are going to be pretty similar. You may see slight differences during a fitting, hitting them back to back, but that will often level out over time as your swing adjusts to the shaft.

I would really focus on trying a few different weights. If you are in 60g now, try a 67g and maybe a 75g and see what happens. The weight is always going to have a larger impact than the small differences in bend profile, especially if you are looking within a certain profile type.

In my opinion, the shafts are getting more credit than they deserve recently. Shaft OEMs put out new designs every season now just like the club OEMs. The shaft is only capable of doing a couple things, that being adding loft and closing the face, and both of these are pretty minimal and very dependent on the golfers swing.

If you find a shaft that you like, don't assume you need to upgrade to a newer version. If it ain't broke.

If you go to Club Champion and they have the shafts, you may want to try

Tensei AV Blue vs Tensei CK Pro Blue, and Diamana ZF vs BF vs DF, as all 5 of these shafts are all going for the "stiff but maintains some pop" space.

Diamana BF series: the latest (4th generation) blue profile shaft, which is the mid launch, mid spin shaft.  Justin Thomas uses it.

Diamana ZF series: similiar to the BF with a stiffer tip area to reduce spin, supposed to be mid launch, low spin shaft.

Diamana DF series: even stiffer and lower spin than the ZF, it mixes the white board mid stiff profile in to be the lowest launch, lowest spin shaft.

Tensei CK Pro Blue: new materials version of the Diamana blue board, CK is carbon kevlar, mid launch, mid spin.  The CK Pro is the aftermarket version, the CK is the cheaper higher torque version.

Tensei AV Blue: the new replacement for the CK Pro Blue, it uses Aluminium Vapor (AV) instead of CK (carbon kevlar) for more consistency.

The earlier versions of the Diamana White board such as the Ahina, White Board or D+ plus are surprisingly good for 70g shafts.

They kept appearing in PGA Winner's Bags (particularly the D+ Plus 70g) even after later generations of the White Board were released.

They are not as boardy feeling as the newer white shafts, but are very stable and tip stiff in the 70g weight.

If you need confirmation that the Diamana White Board 70 is a competitive shaft, Shane Lowry won the British Open 2019 using a Mitsubishi Diamana White 70X.

    • Agree. The next omission needs to be that ridiculous team concept. Nobody cares about a team when they really don’t represent anything except being a group of diminished morality and/or washed up pro golfers. Or wait, we’ve also got total nobodies who’ve accomplished nothing who now get a participation trophy! Doesn’t that sound invigorating!
    • LIV moving to 72 holes is a subtle admission that 54 holes was nothing but a joke all along.
    • I was going to start a thread, but this seems like the place.  Yesterday I played my matchplay match at my local club.  My opponent is a notorious sandbagger by reputation.  The pro once pulled his tournament rounds from the past several years and said that it is impossible his tournament rounds are legit based on his handicap. here is what happened last night.  I am getting 4 shots from him.  His current handicap index is 15.3 i shot 45 on the front.   Was down 4 after nine, he had three birdies and shot even par. I was closed out on thirteen, we halved with a bogey.  That bogey put him one over par for his round.   He then took a triple on 14 and then left. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he lied about his score.   I wrote down on my scorecard what the score was.  He put higher values that didn’t affect the outcome of the match to pad his score and apparently make it not look as obvious.   He shot 36 on the front, but claimed 40.  The higher values for his score were in the online scoring app our club uses.  He did it this way: I won #7. He had a 2 foot putt for par that if he made would still lose the hole.   He picked up and said it didn’t matter since I won.  He took a 5 instead of a 4 after picking up a gimme. on #8 his approach shot on this par 4 was 8 inches.  I verbally conceded the putt but I had hit into a hazard.  I finished the hole with a 6.  Instead of birdie he put in for par. on #9, another par 4, his approach was to 18 inches.  I missed my par putt and then knowing how close I verbally conceded the putt.  I missed my bogey putt, he never conceded mine.  Instead of birdie he put down a bogey. He padded his score by 4 shots on the front.  And then did again on 10.  I rinsed one and made 6 on a par 4.  I putted out and he was fishing balls out of the lake so I drove off to the next tee.  He had 15 feet laying two but claimed a 5.     love to know the odds of a 15 handicap being even thru 12 holes on a round of golf.
