I’m in. Having trouble editing the Google doc from my phone, but I will put my info in very shortly.

Sadly, despite living in sunny SoCal, I have yet to play a round at my home course in 2020 and just played my first round anywhere last Friday.

I have tabulated this in my head on a historical basis but never over a single year. Should be fun

No need to download anything, unless you want to do it on your phone. It works easiest on a computer.

Played Summerlin once this week, today, three birdies, checked off 1 and 6 for Feb.

I'm glad you didn't take the "monthly" thing literally and erase all of your birdies from the chart. Here's what I did though: I made a second tab for your monthly challenges, while the main one should just track your ringer score on all 18 holes.

I can't get out to play, every time we have a nice day I have something I have to do. I haven't touched a club since January 20. Checked off 10 holes in two rounds, now I am stagnant. Might get out on Monday if the weather report holds true. Watch out once summer gets here and I can play several times a week!

I am happy to report that after 6 rounds, I knocked off all the pars, including those holes where I usually take a bogey... I also managed a couple of birdies so far as well.  Now it's on for the real meat of the birdie challenge.

BTW, if anyone plays a bunch of courses and wants to keep track of that type of birdie challenge, I made a new tab for that. I'll edit the first page too.

Great! I was just going to ask about that, being that I already have 9 holes covered (compared to only 2 in my designated course). Thanks!

Yeah. To be clear, only rounds NOT played on your home course are good for the second tab.

I knew the jinx was in, that was my last round so far. Might hit 40 Sunday so hoping to get out then.

Neat idea! I'm going to be in a league this year that my buddy signed me up for without my knowledge, so I'll get plenty of play on that course. I guess that will be my new "home course". I live in NE Ohio, and it's in the single digits as I type this, so there's plenty of time to sign up.

Birdied 14 today! Took me 16 rounds to birdie all 18 holes.

Yesterday I had three birdies, today I had four. Checked off 11, 14, 15 for Feb.

    • Day 27 (17 July 26) - Normally an 18 hole day, but due to commitments abbreviated the round to 9 holes (played the back nine at home course).  Had a solid session where even the worst miss (tee shot off 18) was fully playable.  Shot a solid 39 (6pars, 3bogies) - not dbls, no three putts - just boring golf.
    • Overall, well said. People have to be very careful in trying to describe very complex problem in simple terms. In this case, it is a clear fundamental misunderstanding of Newton's 1st and 3rd laws.  To clarify more on the misinterpretation of Newton's 1st law. The exact interpretation of Newton's 1st Law....  "Every body continues in its state of rest, or of uniform motion in a straight line, unless it is compelled to change that state by forces impressed upon it" yea, a body will stay motionless unless a force acts upon it. An object will stay on its path of motion unless a force acts upon it.  I get it, complex physics problems are difficult. There is a lot of simplification done in most physics class when it is taught. A classic problem uses a frictionless surface. Projectile motion excludes drag and wind direction. Collisions are usually elastic. The golf swing is not a simple physics problem.  Yea, I think they got caught up the data on the graphs and are not truly understanding cause and effect.  If the golfer isn't first pushing into the ground, then the ground isn't going to push back.  The internal forces of the body create the motion, not the external forces from the ground. The ground isn't like what Psy uses to start his concert. 🤣 You probably need to be connected to the ground and have those GRF to help the body produce the motion you want. Your body has to move in the right way to produce the GRF which helps you move the body in the way you want. Body motion precedes the GRF.
