The subpoena actually isn't related to Reed's case. Reed's lawyer is suing the PGA Tour in a different case, and the lawyer served the subpoena on Rory for that case.

To be fair, Reed using that lawyer - Larry Klayman - in the first place says only bad things. Klayman probably should not be allowed to practice law anymore.

Dumb analysis.  The problem with LIV has nothing to do with the AMOUNT of money, it is with the SOURCE of the money.

Additionally, purses were going to go up anyway. The TV deal is bringing more new money in.

Given that TV golf ratings have been declining for 20plus years, it would seem the PGAT succeeded in delivering for their members. That's a fact that escapes their critics.

Also something that's being missed in the coverage of PGA Tour purses is that it's just a reallocation. The bottom players get more in guarantees, the top players will get more in bigger money events, and the middle class will get squeezed a bit.
