This guy explains it well but in actual use most golfers will find it hard to grab a wood and spin the grip without soleing the club to get it square to the target. Most I have played with adjust the loft , sole the club to take their grip and play with anything but a square club face. Why wouldn’t it be easier to just buy the right loft for you from the beginning?
I think it foolish to think a coach/teacher who is proven has missed something so easy to spot in a couple of minutes. Unless you are there you don’t know what they have told the player. It happens in football all the time. A coach comes up with the game plan and the player does execute. It’s easy to say the coach should have told him not to do that. The player in the end has to perform. Of course with a shitty coach none of this applies lol.
John seems to have gotten himself turned around somewhere.
Make sure, @fredf, when you try to tag someone that you actually do it. @Club Rat - you have to choose their name from the small popup. https://thesandtrap.com/how-to/mention-members
I kinda haven't gotten to that feeling yet. To be honest the idea of "relaxing" has never clicked with me so I doubt it's going to be that. If anything the feeling of the right wrist folding back a bit more may be a feeling, as I tend to get there without a ton of right wrist bend, and feeling that can play a role.
As can the feeling of just taking the hands more "out" from the top, as that will pull the shaft and clubhead more toward "laid off."
