@cooke119 & @Sandhills Golfe - thanks for the feedback on the HB hybrids! Also good to know on the 12* driver.
@DrvFrShow - good to know those options on the Cobras!
I had hoped to get to golf shop over the weekend to get some hands-on viewing of options, but that didn't happen. Hopefully this week, or next weekend at the latest!
As I get along in years here I'm having issues with arthritis in my hands. A friend let me swing his driver with the larger grip. While they were more comfortable, I felt they slowed down my swing speed. Maybe it was just me using a different driver.
Anybody make the change and have feedback?
I think his playing in it would enhance the interest and attendance in the event. His is only one name in the "maybe he cheated" hat, many are on the tour today. I don't see demand for lifetime bans for any of them.
I used to walk all the time. People at my club used to jokingly ask me if I knew how to drive a golf cart. However, age and arthritis caught up with me. I was able to walk 18 this Spring while golf carts were banned on our course. The cool weather really helped, but often playing two days in a row was a struggle. Carts are now allowed. My plan is to at least walk the front nine, but ride the back if it's hot or my knees are hurting. Our back nine has a couple of steep hills towards the end. Sometimes if I walk I'm so exhausted I don't play them very well. All that being said I still think golf is better when one walks.
