What is Open in Ohio?

Read a story in today's Dayton Daily News that says some courses actually have remained open in the face of the stay-at-home-order.  There was apparently some confusion whether they considered golf courses on the same lines as parks, but it seems they do.

Listed as open were: Yankee Trace, Pipestone, Heatherwood and Windy Knolls

Listed as closed were: Beavercreek and City of Dayton courses.

Please add any courses you know of as either open or closed.

Thanks

Beavercreek is closed. Pretty sure the base courses are closed. Haven’t gone by there recently but Twin Base looked closed late last week. Prairie has been closed since winter and probably won’t be opening any time soon. It sucks, we’re finally getting some nicer weather consistently and have to stay in more. Windy Knolls would be a good one to try out. I like Heatherwoode and Yankee, just kind of far from me, but guess we should be having a lot of free time. I haven’t really experienced that with two kids at home though.

I played it once a long time ago. Struck me as the kind of course a good golfer (which I'm not) would carve up.

Sort of links-like without the nasty grass, but fairly pretty as I recall.

I like Windy Knoll. It's been a few years since I've played it.

Homestead said they will remain open until specifically told to close.

Beechwood

That's one of those that I haven't played yet.

I got high hopes to have Sunday off now that Ohio pushed their deadline as well. If the weather cooperates, I may have to try it.

It's easy to walk I assume.

I hope you have rain gear. It's gonna rain ALL weekend. They will most likely close due to the wet conditions.

You have fun in the 20-30 mph winds with gusts up to 40mph.

Damn. Just got to poop on everyone's parade.

Yeah. The wind's gonna be vicious.

It's Ohio. What did you expect?

Expect is a strong word.

Actually you don't really expect. You just experience. ... Whatever they are guessing for Sunday will probably be wrong by the time it gets here.

Windy Knoll is out now. I am guessing the rest will close too.

So our city of Dayton boys just shut it down until May.

“With limited staffing, social distancing guidelines cannot be sufficiently monitored. Also, disinfecting cleaners are being prioritized for other, front-line city operations,” the release stated.

I got no problem with them shutting these two weeks, but they had the time to figure out how to comply with the guidelines several other courses have already implemented. As far as I'm concerned, they are in breach of contract.

@Bonvivant and I had better be getting some consideration coming our way. They just flushed one of the six prime golf months of the year.

P.S. - Going to Windy Knoll tomorrow.

I’m glad I didn’t buy a pass this year. Do you have tee time tomorrow?

I called around the other day. Locust Hills, Homestead, Beechwood, Cassel Hills are all open.

Yeah. 10:30. Playing with an old buddy of mine. The guy that inflicted this stupid game on me in the first place actually.
