Got our shots tonight. Moderna vaccine and already scheduled for the follow up shot. Man, but they had things dialed in. Very slick operation and all went well. Many thanks to the folks around the country working these clinics!

Except... major side effect! When I went in I had a full head of dark brown hair and when I got home and looked in the mirror imagine my surprise when I saw that what was left of my hair was grey!  Ha!

Seriously, no side effects from this shot for me - not even a sore arm!

Hey that's great to hear. I signed up for mine. They told me I'm so far down the list the won't even give me an approximate date as to when I would get the first shot.... might not be this year.

My job isn't considered essential. I beg to differ, but I get what they mean.
My health is too good. Again, I get what they mean.
At 50 years old, I'm not considered any kind of high risk. So, I don't fit into any of the categories they are scheduling right now.

So basically they told me don't call us, we'll call you.

I'm not complaining really. I get it.

Dana Farber called my mother and told her they will give her the vaccine. This is where she did her cancer treatments last year. She was pleased because she didn’t want to go to Gillette Stadium where the mass vaccinations are happening.

Based on the Pats season, I thought they only served estrogen at Gillette stadium.

I hope I get to get the vaccine soon.

The metro-Atlanta county school superintendents - mine in Gwinnett included - sent a letter asking that teachers move into the 1-A category.  Of course, I have no doubt that it's more about keeping the schools open, than actually protecting the teachers.  And now, with the CDC's new recommendations about schools will drive the narrative that we should be fully face to face.  Currently, I have two classes that have so many in person students that it is utterly impossible to keep students anywhere near six feet apart.

Cases are actually dropping in my area. So much so that they had a Covid floor changed back to normal patient care last week. That's a significant improvement.

Edit:

Maybe not total positive cases but in house patient numbers have dropped. I'll word it that way

We will be checking the GPS readout off your chip to see how often you play golf.

Second chip was programmed similar to the first. About 8 hours after injection I started getting the chills and was shivering a lot. A couple hours later I woke up and was just burning up. And then I woke up this morning with a splitting headache. My arm still hurts a little bit, but it is very tolerable. Headache is not quite as bad after some Tylenol.  They would have given me the day off work, but I have stuff I need to get done today so I came in to the office.

    • My answer is no. I agree that it sucks when it happens, but I like the "play the course as you find it" concept. I don't have a lot of friends who play golf, but a few of them who play more frequently make up a rule for free drops from fairway divots. Their rationale is that they rarely hit in the fairway, so when the do, they shouldn't be penalized by a random bad lie. They don't keep handicaps, and only play skins matches amongst themselves, so as far as I am concerned, they can make up whatever rules they want.
    • Congratulations. 16 yards is a ton. I'm curious. First, how did you arrive at 17 yards? Did you hit a bunch with your old gamer and then hit the SIM2? Second, What did you replace with the SIM2? And had you been fitted for that one?
    • I've heard this rule suggested over and over again. I'm interested to hear what you all think. Should free drops be allowed from fairway divots? What about pick clean and place from a fairway divot?  Golf World Reacts To Paige Spiranac’s Bold Rules Suggestion Is golf in need of a rules change? Paige Spiranac believes so after watching the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational on Sunday. On the final hole of the tournament, Lee Westwood smoked his drive down the fairway...
    • A worst-ball scramble does not sound fun to me. It reminds me of some of the awful high school football conditioning drills our coach had us do at the end of practice. For example, each position group would have to run a quarter mile in full pads at the end of a 3 hour practice. The RB/WR groups had 60 seconds (not totally sure on the time, it was over 25 years ago). If anyone didn't finish in time, we had to do it again. And again. And again. Until everyone made it in the allotted time. It was completely miserable. That said, "fun" is personal preference. My sister loves running marathons, which sounds awful to me.
    • Hey All,  I just purchased a new SIM2, and boy oh boy am I excited.     Now, I don't want to sing the praises of the Sim2 too much here, because, honestly, I was getting very similar results from the new Cobra and Callaway as well.   But, while getting fit,..   ball speed was up, and launch angle and spin rate were much improved.  Also, it appeared I was making pretty significant gains in dispersion as well.   I know a lot of this has to do with the shaft I was fitted for, every bit as much (if not more than the head).    anyways, I'm excited.   thanks all.
