Running about a day behind - here is Day 13's drill.  I love the explanation of letting the club tell where to align the feet.  Have played with this shot many times in the back yard - my son drills on this constantly.  Can safely say that I won't be doing the flop-catch anytime soon.  I did play with this late yesterday after the winds and rain had lifted here in eastern NC.  The grandson loved me hitting the little pop-ups using wiffle balls - he began to try to catch them.  So in one way, I sort of completed the flop-catch....

Turn your mat sideways and put the ball right near the front edge (not the back edge, of course).

I just tried that and the first thing I did was hit it 3” fat and nailed the frame of the mat solid :8)

It’s in my head now, I’m done for the day.

It doesn’t work like that.

It sure was! Popped the ferrule loose, too. Good thing it wasn’t one of my new clubs 😃

This one was fun. I had an audience and my attorney wife calling the shot. She did her best Cousin Vinny. My goddaughter (off camera to the left) tried a turn with comical results. And yes, there were bunnies.

Day 14, no video today but hit some tees outside and some ping pong balls inside doing this drill. As I expected, it wasnt too hard to do, I feel like I have somewhat decent hand eye coordination since I played baseball growing up and play a lot of ping pong in my basement now.

Spent a bit more time working on the flop shot too, I definitely want to practice this more in the short game area once it opens back up.

Day 14, i’ve done a similar drill with one ball and force yourself to hit it out to the right, but I like this drill  better.

Exercised, wrote some lyrics and recorded a slide guitar solo... so, didn't spend much time with golf today.  Did manage about 10 minutes.

Day 14

I'm noticing my right elbow is too close to my body..... and not even 90 degrees let alone more (it actually was something I though i was supposed to do).

Day 14

Used tees for this because I didn’t trust myself with this one using balls. Tried to have my 4 year old boy call the shots in my backswing but he didn’t quite get the idea, so I just alternated between inside and outside.

I like drills like this that reenforce that the golf swing is an athletic / coordinated motion. Sometimes I get bogged down with too many technical thoughts and drills like this feel more free. This was similar to a drill my instructor had me do where she had me address a ball normally, and then swing inside of the ball and try to hit it just off the tip of the toe; this was almost 1.5 years ago so I forget exactly what feel she was trying to instill in my swing, but I think it had to do with shanks/OTT issues.
