I’ve never lost a tag. I don’t know what some of you are doing. 🙂

Of course now I jinxed myself.

I think we talked about it before. My theory is off-center contact causes excess vibration up the shaft. It's only ever an issue on my PURE grips because the hole at the end is bigger.

I'll see how long I can tolerate tagging another club and editing before I just abandon the whole thing altogether. I'm not even going to bother emailing them. They still haven't gotten back to me from last week when I emailed them about the course mapping at Keney Park. There are some units with tags for $50 on eBay but I don't think I actually want to spend more money on this thing.

I use GolfPride CP2’s on my irons, and there is no way those tags are coming out. You almost need a tool to even thread them in all the way.

@billchao- I have a full set of extra tags I’m never gonna use. PM me and I’ll send you whichever ones you want.

I have MCC on my irons and they're the same way. I've only ever had tags pop out of PURE grips.

Thanks. I went digging around in my old golf bag and found an old wedge with an extra tag on it, so I'm still in business for now.

Silicone, boys.

It’s not just for bathrooms and bimbos anymore.

Still pops out with silicone. Superglue works better, but it's not fun when you need to remove the tag for any reason because you have to clean the bits of hardened glue and rubber off it.

I'm fairly certain I simply forgot to apply any adhesive to my last GW tag. Oh well.

My clubs are about 1 1/2 years old.   I used a white silicone to help secure the tags to my Golf Pride CP2 Pro grips.   This week I had to screw two back down and will re-secure them again with silicone this week.

Must be something wrong with my current wedges. I haven't mis-hit my old ones in about a year 😜

Just to follow up, they had to furlough a few employees but are starting to come back. They solved my problem so I put my tags back on my clubs.

  • 4 weeks later...

Update....I uploaded a round today and noticed a chat feature added to the system.  In a matter of a couple of minutes I was chatting with a live support person at GameGolf.  That is the first update to the system I have seen in quite a while and after so long with no support at all I was pleasantly surprised to see this.  Maybe, just maybe, GameGolf is on the road to recovery.

I will now start using Taylormades My round pro. I’ll just tag them manually.

I am looking for a cheap 2nd generation Arccos system.

Game Golf followed up with me yesterday asking if there were any other courses with the same issue.   I check all of my rounds in which I've used the device and they are working as they should.   Within the last week, they have impressed me.

My two cents on recent customer support: nothing but positive. Had an issue with their mapping of a new course that I played (tagged fairway shots weren't recorded as fairways hits, mapping seemed skewed to the right). Was able to contact their support using the live chat feature and instantly was paired up with a rep, who managed to fix the issue in about 20 mins. Easy!

Glad to hear.  I know this is odd, but I really want them to succeed so I can continue to use my current tracker.  I know I could buy something new from someone else, but this has worked for me for nearly 5 years.

    • A bit of background. The Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) runs an annual event known as "Team Play." It is a wildly popular match play competition where Men's Clubs across the region put together teams of 20+ golfers together to compete against other clubs in a 16 vs. 16 match. In any given year, approximately 80-100 clubs will participate. Each club is grouped into "pods" of 4, and will play 6 total matches - one home and one away match against the other 3 clubs. The winning club from each pod advances to the Team Play Playoffs - a single elimination format - until a winner is crowned.  Antelope Valley Country Club just advanced to the championship match for the 3rd consecutive year. They won the championship in both 2022 and 2023.  Based on my review of the match history from the past 3 years (linked below), they have won 21 consecutive team matches. Keep in mind, these are handicapped matches, so this is not just a case where a group of sticks bands together to dominate the poor amateurs other SoCal clubs. Even if these guys are grinders who never quit, play their best under pressure and routinely putt the lights out, the law of averages still say that a streak of that nature is mathematically impossible.  Is there any plausible explanation beyond institutionalized sandbagging throughout the club? • Interesting that Scottie is #10 on the all time money list and he's been on the PGAT for 4 years. Of course, purses are bigger now, but  neat to look at non-the-less.  The list of top 18 money winners in PGA Tour history has plenty of surprises This list is updated through the 2024 RBC Heritage. To add, Scottie won 4.5 million at the Players, Jack played 44 seasons and won a little of 5 million on course.
    • 43 (6 over) Couple bogies, couple Pars, a birdie and no doubles. Not bad for first 9 of the year.
    • Most the stuff I found on Instagram and just copy and mix it up. a few of my favorites: Clean>Squat>Press> March Around the body >catch >Squat> press I also hold a the kettle bell upside down with both hands on the handle. Squat when I stand back up I lift the kettlebell up over and behind my head and hold then repeat
