I imagine you’ll know better than anyone yes?

I few grams of weight in the shaft won't make any real difference. Also as I haven't heard of the XP90 shaft, I am guessing it may actually be an XP95 that the club OEM requested changing the name on even though its the same shaft.

I think the xp 90 was on vokey and ap1 from 2018. Not available to buy separately.

Both shafts are mid-spin and mid-high launch, XP90 in R300 is 95g, XP95 in R300 is 98g. Torque numbers for both are the same. Unless they different balance/flex/bend points, I doubt you would feel a 3g difference, I know I couldn't. I also believe that the XP90 is now discontinued.

This was a stock shaft for Titleist AP1 in the 716 series. I found it too light for me. The XP95 is a bit stiffer obviously. I had those for a while @michaelmcla.

This totally sounds like a weight sorting difference between the two shafts, since someone mentioned a 3g difference between the two. Just like TT weight sorts out the DG shafts into 200, 300, and 400, when the shafts fall outside of the 2 gram tolerance, that is what is happening here. Shafts falling outside of tolerances, get put into a new category and sold as xp90. Just guessing but makes sense from what I know and what has been said here in the thread.

Thanks for all the feedback, going by my skill level id be very surprised if I noticed a difference from what you guys are saying.

FWIW, I liked the XP95 shafts better.

I wrote to True Temper some years ago regrading the same issue and they told me it was basically the same shaft.

    • This would be funny for the prankster, but I imagine most victims wouldn’t have taken it as well as Spieth did. I would definitely be mad if some idiot tried to pull this one on me. Imagine how it would’ve unfolded if it had been played on the likes of John Daly or Rory McIlroy...
    • I didn't know 8th graders could buy homes in Colorado.
    • This is the closest the course swing has matched the range swing. Hole was 425, cut the dogleg a little, 150 left to pin, center of fairway. Still hate the right knee kicking out and hip going towards ball around A7. One of the rare occasions where I turned the brain off and coming off the face, it felt like it wasn't going to go very far, but carried the bunker, no problemo. Bethpage Yellow #13. When you put the camera far back, less chance to screw up the angle. Backswing around the green has always been too long, too much hinge. Have been working on making it more compact. This chip went too long, but the backswing is much improved. Tempo is a little quick, snatchy, will work on making it more smooth.
    • If it was one of your golfing buddies maybe,  but not somebody you don't personally know.
    • I know that many golf trips involve playing as many different courses as possible within the time allowed.  However, considering the reputation of both of these courses, it wouldn't bother me at all to play one (or both) of them twice.  But as someone who has taken the lead in planning a bunch of trips, I promise that I will be happy playing any course that gets selected.
