Where is everyone playing this weekend. Saturday (5/16) looks pretty nice, so get out there and hunt some birdies!

As for me, I haven't figured it out yet.

I figured if the weather holds up, I'd try to track down Ralph at Miami Shores for that 2 p.m. tee time he was talking about.

However, if there is a sure tee time to be had elsewhere, I'd be happy to join you.

I'm playing Sunday morning at Golf Club of Dublin with 3 buddies. I haven't played the course before but it's supposed to be one of the nicer public courses in the area and managed to get it for $42 when it's typically in the $70 range for weekend mornings.

Weather was looking iffy for a bit but now it says afternoon showers and only 40% chance so I think we should be fine in the morning.

I'm up in the air. I have some projects I want to do, but I always want to play golf of course. I might see if I can sneak out for 9 somewhere.

Nice! Dublin is a nice area. I would love to play that other course there. 😉

Did yard work today. I'll see if I can get paired up with someone tomorrow. Next weekend, I might play one of Duck's quota games at Community.

Yeah. I'm thinking about that.

It would be good to see some of those guys, but my game sucks right now. A couple good holes. Then a couple of disasters. It's the usual problem of getting my weight forward and staying on balance at the same time. Might try to work in some range time at Shores.

One thing I've puzzled over is whether or not to use the card if I do go to Community. Those guys have me down at 9 rounds (which surprised me). If memory serves I can go 11 and still get 80% back. Paying rack rate for a Dayton course seems like a weird idea.

Did you get 18 in before the rain started yesterday?

17 and one lousy shot with a 7-iron.

Lost a ball in the trees on the right of the par 3 (#15 I think) and two guys in a cart hit into the green while I was looking. I just moved on.

That, I believe, was the failure to get my weight forward.

I had a ball fly over my head and land less than 10' from my while I was waiting to tee off on #16. He got hold of that one and didn't realize he hit it that far. Scared the 💩 out of me.

Those near misses seem to happen more at Homestead than anywhere else I play.

You and I were playing there with @Jeremie Boop a year or two back, When someone missed me by a foot or two. I had a chip on No. 4 and some dude drilled a ball at us from maybe 175 yards back in the fairway. I'm sure he must have been a novice that just happened to finally catch one. Nobody with any experience would try a stunt like that.

Heard nothing, but saw a blur go by as I was setting up. Damn near soiled my self when I turned my head, saw the ball land and realized how close that came.

I didn't figure it would be to terrible to get a tee time. The refund option for Kittyhawk/Madden may be helping that too. Are you playing in the Duck games next weekend?

On another note, I saw they guy who worked in the clubhouse at Kittyhawk out at Homestead yesterday. I think they are going to make a low of money from KH closing.

I plan on playing them, but the long term forecast looks like rain for at least a week. I did make a tee time for 4 on wednesday before they made it so that only 3s and 4s can make times, but that looks like rain too. I just hope the league thing doesn't ruin the amount of times available.

Wednesday afternoon doesn't look too bad according to the TWC, but this is Ohio... Next weekend doesn't look too bad either.

Time shall tell. Hopefully I can play all 3 days I have set up this week. My putter was on fire yesterday, and i want to keep it hot. I holed just over 200 ft of putts in one round, which is absurd. If i had any kind of ball striking yesterday, the 87 I shot could have been in the 70s lol. All the putts were actually holed, as community is using foam sunk into the cup, and my putts were going in "pocket speed" to use a pool term.

My putter was almost on fire in that I wanted to burn it yesterday. 3 tres-putts and a missed 4' par putt after a chip just off the fringe. Short game is awful right now.

My only real ray of sunshine yesterday was a putt.

Hit a crappy drive, so-so 5W and then pulled a PW into the fringe left of the #9 green.  With the pin in the middle of this severe front-to-back sloped green, I had to guess an angle and speed to play it back up the slope and then down. I guessed right, draino for a par.

Should have gone home after that.

Are you going to update your home course in the birdie (par for us) to Homestead?
