It looks to me like Edel has streamlined their production process.
Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like the Edel putters now have changeable inserts to more quickly build in the alignment aids that the user likes?

Will this mean @iacas will have to get a new kit to fit Edel putters?

Yeah.

Which we may or may not do.

@iacas stated Natalie and his were the last of the classic.

They were. I ordered two more (I think I have four now, with two of them being interchangeable weights… that I've never changed the weights on 😄). One for her, one for me. They were the last ones made.

Are these still great putters or are they starting to drop in quality?  I am getting ready to schedule a fitting for an Edel Putter but now I am hesitant.

They’re still good. They just have fewer options now than they had with Classic.

I wanted to "bump" this thread. I'm just curious if anyone's purchased one of these bad boys?

I'm really interested in hearing about them. To my eye these look like they were redesigned more to improve the ability to manufacture, than to improve performance. Again, anyone out there have one?

Of course that's why they did that. Three hosels, four heads, interchangeable topline plates…

We have the EAS fitting cart downtown at Golf Evolution.

Ah, so you decided to get one. Back in late June it seemed you were on the fence.

Yeah, I think for the outing (it doesn't seem like it was months ago) @iacas didn't have them yet.

    • One thing about the virus . . . it's easy to see where people stand on it.   sadly
    • I want to see pics of those who hoard putters. @Double Mocha Man    If I have old stuff, it’s because its for my kid when he’s older. Otherwise I give stuff away or sell it. I have enough for maybe 3 sets of clubs.
    • 94 posted rounds so far, the vast majority at one or the other of the 2 courses at my home club.  I’ll be a bit over 100 by year end.  We were lucky that Covid shutdowns didn’t have much impact on golf here, so pretty normal. • I don’t think I posted on here for this year and goals but I did accomplish a lot this season. My first under par round at -2. My GIR Numbers we’re consistently in double digits. Typically 12-13 per round. I had some long par streaks or better during rounds going 8-10 holes without a bogey several times. My ball striking has reached a level where I feel as though I may look at blades for the first time. My putting has been far more consistent. I have done this by learning to control distance with approach shots. I’ve learned to flight my irons better this year. I’ve utilized the 3/4 punch shot more this season than ever. I’ve dialed in my wedge game. I’ve gotten to the point where I approach greens and hit the correct quadrant and I’m not just happy with on the green anymore. I’ve switched putting grips to the claw for this season and it’s significantly improved putting.    I will set some goals next season but I’m using this as a chance to review the strides I’ve made this season as I’m pretty sure I failed to set goals formally for 2020.
    • The last round I played we played from one up tee boxes, so like 5,500 yds, relative to par I was about 6-8 shots better than I typically am, but relative to differential it was 3 strokes better than my handicap at the time. But to be fair I also played a nearly mistake free round of golf and holed multiple 10-15 footers which isn't normal for me.
