Let's use an example from my round today.
I drove it a little right. There's a hill there, so it bounced down but stayed on the right side of the cart path. So, I hit a 6I down there pretty far, and left myself a tough little 30-yard wedge over a bunker to a firm-ish green sloping away from me (front to back).
I hit the ball to 30 feet. It was a "good" shot. It never flirted with coming up short. It was never going to go really long. It left me an uphill putt coming back.
Yet so many people would have been absolutely ticked to have hit that third shot.
Would you have been one of those?
