Like our 2008 , 2009 , 2010 , 2011 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 threads, here's the official thread for 2021!
The rules are the same as they've been:
Post your personal golf-related goals for 2020. Be specific and thorough.
Elaborate on how you'll go about achieving these goals. Details, people!
Post just once this year in this topic. So, make it a good post. (Though if you reach all of your goals, you should quote your post and revise them later in the year. Then you should set harder goals next year. 😄)
Keep the replies to a minimum. This thread is mostly for the posting of goals. If you want to encourage more discussion of your goals, post a copy of them in your Member Swing thread. If you want to discuss someone else's goals in more depth than a few replies, quote them in their Member Swing topic.
If you're looking to recap your 2020 goals, that topic can be found right here.
Let's hear 'em!
Maybe then, you've simply had some good fortune to have avoided that particular type in the past.
At my low level, I'd say most people in my club events have been pretty good guys to play with, but there are some particular guys that will press buttons. They are out there and it is inevitable that you'll run into one of them again.
I'd also guess that as you progress to higher levels of competition, that type will become more common.
Well sure but you were the one talking of selling the putter. If you're selling a Ping putter, I think you'd get better $$ if it had a Ping grip.
I got a very slightly oversized Ping pistol grip for my PingZing2 (from the stock wrapped grip) and it helps greatly. Good tacky rubber that still has the feel. Shop did not carry any jumbo type that I was curious to and I'm not sure if Ping offers them.
With the year coming to a close, it's time for our yearly self-assessment thread. Here's how this will work...
Quote your post from the 2020 Golf Goals topic right here in this topic, then write something below your quoted post to let everyone know how you did!
For deep dives into your goals, consider cross-posting (linking to your post here) in your Member Swing topic.
P.S. To quote your post from another topic, you can do one of two things:
Quote it, select the whole quote "box" (with the little + sign in the top left corner), copy it, and paste it into the reply box here.
Click the "+ Multi" button on your post in that topic, reload this topic, and quote it directly into a reply here by clicking the "Quote 1 Post" button/overlay that should appear.
The latter is the easier method, and the former won't work very well on tablets or smart phones.
