First, you need to learn to read the putt. That is an art in itself. Uphill, downhill, sidehill, into the grain, with the grain. Google it for a better explanation than I can give. Then you move on to the mechanics of the stroke. Mine pretty much suck but others on here can supply you with the gist of it.
Day 82 (17 Sep 21) - time w/the putter this evening on the indoor putting mat. Decided to work with the DF992 as I plan to use it for the next few rounds. Focus was on tempo and keeping centered. Total of about 50 putts taken from 3’ up to 9’ (the max length of the mat). Made about half the shots along the white line to the little hole (about 1-1/2 ball dia) and half from the full cup dia hole. Will be interested to see how they fall over the next few rounds.
As a slower swing speed senior, I carry 10 clubs and have been since 2012. (I'm also a walker, so weight matters) Using 6* gaps vs 4*, just makes more sense for me. Lofts are 16, 20, 26, 30, 36, 42, 48, 54 and 60 plus the putter.
