  1. 1. What does wearing a white belt while playing golf say about you?

    • I only wear white to match the white sox I wear with my golf sandals.

The bit about being a slob does ring pretty true. I generally avoid white clothes. But. ...

I'm not secure enough in my masculinity to wear a white belt. More power to those that are. Hopefully, those guys are also wearing tassels on their golf shoes.

I don't eat hot dogs at the turn, but basically this.

I care what color my belt is inasmuch as I'd like it to "work" with my other items of clothing. That doesn't mean everything is the same color, of course, but if I have a blue shirt and grey pants, and the blue shirt has white stripes in it, I might wear a white hat, white belt, and white socks/shoes. Or I might wear those things white and wear a blue belt.

I may wear a white belt, but at least I don’t play a shaft that doesn’t fit my swing just because it’s blue.

Hey in all fairness. Right now there really isn't a shaft made that would actually "fit" my swing.

@boogielicious I laughed out loud when a read the part about Chicago Public Schools. Thanks, brother totally made my day.

I thought of a few more things the white belt could say about you.

1 - I'm a female pop star, or female pop star wannabe.

2 - I'm in the navy.

3 - I sell ice cream for a living.

I bet some of them are wearing pink panties too...

But only because they’re comfortable in their masculinity!  😂

A few more suggestions for reasons:

- I have more in my closet than 14 shades of khaki.

- I realize there is more to life than my black work belt.

- I like to look good even if I play like 💩

- I realize cargo shorts should only be worn when no one can see you in them.

Oh, my goodness! Those are funny!

Best part, I never put anything in the cargo pockets of my cargo shorts.

Wait, you don’t even use them for their intended function? You actually like the way they look?

I use the pockets to carry around my shame. 🤣

They NEVER wear out! They are in-de-f-ing-struck-able!

I bought some back when Eddie Vedder was making grunge into a thing. ... I still have them.

I wouldn't choose to wear a white belt regardless of the fashion statement it might or might not have.  I'd just get it dirty and it wouldn't look good (probably from the charcoal gray seats of my man-cave car).

I still don't get the thing about cargo pants.  The first time I ever had them (long legs, not shorts), it was required of me--my BDU while in the military many moons ago after I had to give up the flight suit. (Seems like a millennium now.)  I only recall seeing them in civilian life after getting out of the military, and didn't think much of it until I heard that it's somehow a fashion faux pas.  Okay, yeah, they're not real stylish in a sense, but they're more of a utility style piece of clothing anyway.

    • PXG is great.  Ordered a putter, driver and another putter in Feb. March and June, respectively. Custom assembled yet all arrived in 10 days. Back in April, ordered a set of Srixon ZX 5 irons from normally dependable Rock Bottom Golf. Waited 2 weeks with no delivery. Called customer service and they said another month. Canceled and bought in person from Golf Galaxy.
    • I voted to allow it to continue.  Personally I do not like how it looks but last I checked Golf is not a beauty contest.  Also, for those saying to limit the length or loft nothing in the rules dictate which club or loft to use for a particular shot,  if I want to use my 48” driver to hit a putt I should be allowed to.
    • Day 118.  Already today I did part two of Erik's day-8 Covid drill, although instead of two alignment sticks I used an alignment stick (my only one) and a shaft pull (I also ordered alignment sticks so I can more easily use them because the shaft pull is a bit awkward).   I used my timing from yesterday's practice to aid.  I may take these to the practice facility and actually try to putt with these for a drill. I also did ten minutes of 7-iron full shots, exaggerating how short-of-parallel I'm going.  Gonna do that more today, too, and get video tomorrow I think.
    • I think that is a common issue with GPS.  I'm not sure about GGP but I believe GPS in general is only accurate within a few feet either direction.  Combine that with the fact that it only knows where your last putt originated form it can only approximate where the pin is.  I think they use something like 2 feet from last putt but I may be wrong there.  I've never worried about the putting distances, just the number of putts.   I've also seen issues with "Tap-in".  Basically I tap in, pickup and move away so quickly that the GPS does not always "Lock-In" near the ball, it registers closer to where I stand to watch the next person putt after I tap-in.  All I need to do to fix that is stand by the hole a little longer to let it "Lock-In" on my location but that would just slow the pace.
    • Day 243: Too humid to work on full swing outside today without sweating buckets. So I did a 2 hour short game practice instead. Started with chipping on all kinds of lies and focused on soft arms and pivot. Also, I slowed down my backswing which is an issue for me. Moved on to putting. Used my tempo app to get my rhythm down at 72 2/4 time. Then  worked on distance control up and down hill.   Next played a little one ball from various lies trying to get up and down. Followed with sand work when the green cleared. Finished with flop shots and downhill lie pitches.
